This like cute petite 40+ (guess) year old lady got on the bus today, and when she turned to sit down, she had this big round butt. Made my day and made me smile because I was totally not expecting that.

its not raiden Darkshadow - my MGS-cholic friend says that this character has wrong eye color.
I got my Dell 2209WA today. Now that I've used an IPS panel, I don't think I can settle for anything less.
That's true, raiden has blue eyes, not brown ones. But he is a damn cyborg, he could have purple eyes for that matter.
Or its a clone, or its grown up cyborg sunny...
What made me smile today is that I got to play against a team that I've always wanted to play against in tennis. It was a battle of great endurance. ;)
I bought a coat the other day, and wore it yesterday. Very manly
Seeing Diversity win Britain's Got Talent 2009 put a huge smile on my face. They're my favourite by far. The diverse ages really works to their advantage, giving their performance variety, compared to an otherwise equally good dance troupe Flawless.
As said by the judges, the choreography was superb.
Today, I decided to apply for my second Masters (before having even graduated from my first). It made me smile in a 'zomgosh this is insane, why am I doing it? ...but it's going to be AWESOME' kind of way.
So, I'd been growing a potato in an admittedly undersized pot (6 inches / 15cm diameter). About a week ago the plant started to die. I didn't know exactly how much water they needed, almost every day is apparently not enough (only neglecting to water when I forgot).
So I ripped it up today to see if anything had grown. To no real surprise, the entire thing was pot bound. But deep inside were these:

Needless to say, it made me happy.
Eat them!! What's the menu??
Doesn't look like quite enough for mashed potatoes...
what made me smile today... This
That's quite amusing, in a way.
The best part:

The zoo flew in four females in a bid to get the endangered birds to reproduce - but quickly abandoned the scheme after causing outrage among gay rights activists, who accused it of interfering in the animals' behaviour.
Finally i made another training sword to fight with my friends, last one was nearly broken. and this one is just way better.
Its balanced, have pretty proper weight, and most importantly - handle with fabric.
Swordfight season opened.

I got on a bike today for the first time in more than a decade, and I've been on this low-grade ecstatic post-exercise trip ever since. I got nothing but happiness and smiles, and minor soreness.

First Boss extreme run, very sloppy but It made me smile cause now I know how to shave off at least 2 hours of that run =D.
I'm on this too, but i'm doing no-kill, stealth run, but not timed one like you did.
A day late, but I had my last day of high school classes yesterday!
Unless high school sucked real bad, I think you'll regret having to leave. It's all downhill from there until you figure out what life is about. That could take a while.Quote:

It's been very quiet indeed, and I'm quite happy with it.
It's always good to see some numbers though to know you're not being optimistic or ignorant.

Hmm... Even the computer hardware shop that's nearest to me (quite a good shop, though; I've been getting stuff from there lately) seems to be selling that particular drive. You must have had bad luck if you needed to go out of your way to get it. An interesting drive in any case and certainly the price isn't ruining it. HD noises have always bothered me most of all computer noises (aside from worn-out fans). Gotta keep this product line in mind in the future.Quote:

Guess I should have called up and asked. They're also a fair bit cheaper. Damn shop selling high 'cause they got it first!
The one most convenient for me doesn't stock Samsung HDDs though, and the one next closest only had the older EcoGreen F1 models when I checked, which used 333MB density platters rather than 500MB.
I found out that I missed the first 2 episodes of entourage season 5. They have it on On Demand now so I got to watch "new" episodes of entourage : ) already pre-ordered it from amazon.
I was trying to remember a movie that I watched a long time ago. It had a kid who was mischievious to the whole town and his neighbor was named Mr. Wilson. I managed to find out that the movie that I was looking for was called Dennis the Menace. I downloaded and rewatched it for memories. :D
I find it really weird that you'd have trouble remembering that, since Dennis the Menace is a character who's so deeply ingrained in US pop culture.
There's also a British version of Dennis the Menace: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBC7vqhOyDM, though it's completely unrelated to the American one.
I received my 30mW green laser pointer in the mail today. It's amazingly bright, especially at night. The beam is visible and it supposedly has a range of a few kilometers. I tried shining it in my neighborhood, and everything it hits lights up with an extremely bright patch of green. For only $20 CAD, I'm more than satisfied. The build quality is superb for something this cheap.
I'm absolutely sure something like that isn't even allowed over here. I think the limit is 5mW if not even less these days for any laser pointers. If I ordered a pointer like that from the USA, I'd run a high risk of losing it at the customs, no doubt.
Kind of a pity, but on the other hand there are enough idiots around who would use them against people (which is of course precisely why the nanny state won't allow them).
Anything over 5mW isn't allowed in the USA either. Good thing I'm in Canada.
This thing is seriously powerful, and I can see why the government doesn't want the Average Joe to get his hands on one.
Oh. I could have sworn I've seen an American company marketing those more powerful lasers. Maybe I remembered wrong, then.Quote:

Dinner made me smile today. I woke up this morning and made a rib rub. Then I meticulously trimmed the fat from the spare ribs that my wife bought yesterday. After I seasoned my spare ribs with my rib rub, I spent about four-and-a-half hours grilling. Another thirty minutes basting completed the task. The dinner I spent all day making turned out damn tasty.

Oh and I got Star Ocean: the Last Hope today.
DS : Was transformers any good?
Well if today was 23-06-2009 1800h, then I couldve perhaps told you. But since I don't have a time machine I dunno ;P
Went to school last week to check my calculus final mark...a depressing 83%.
Went to school to do my diploma, checked my calculus final mark again. Apparently, she miscalculated and I got bumped up 3% to an 86%.
Yay, an 86% from little work or studying all semester long.
MLIA.
This video is pretty touching: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWMM7fclV9k
It made me smile. My favorite author writes about the Vietnam War, so I like this kind of thing.
Saw transformers yesterday for free at the paramount studios ;3Quote:

Yeah it was good, it was very badass infact. But I excepted even more badassness of it. So yeah it was amazing, but it lacked the holy fucking shit reaction I had a few times during the first film.
I also couldn't stop thinking how badass a live action Gundam movie would've been, I kept imagining it with Transfomers gfx :3.

Yeah that made me lol, I didn't think they would actually mention Obama as president in the movie.

And fuck it worked :D, that is some stupid fucking error right there.

But anyway, I went to get it today, and I paid for it and the other stuff I got. But then I got outside and I wanted to put the receipt in the game case ( something I always do), only then I noticed I only paid 36 euros instead of ~60.
Somehow when she scanned the game, she scanned the wrong bar code ( I guess ) and it registered as unknown item, so I just paid for the other stuff.
I think she noticed it though, cause I was asking her about some other item, which made her make a call about it and she was definitly looking at the screen then.
But the line was long and the store was pretty much closed, so I'm geussing she just didn't care and proceeded to scan the other stuff, let me pay and leave.
This made me smile cause it wouldn't have happened if I bought it yesterday :D,
And no I didn't notice the price cause I never pay attention to it when I go to that store, I just use my ATM (debit?) card, dial in the PIN and press ok then leave. Plus I have my headphones on all the time so I don't hear them when they tell me what the price is.
Still pretty lucky ;P, FREE SF4.
I think the pc version should be free! I'm just saying that because I have no joystick and I think fighting games should stay in the console universe just as FPS should stay on PC's.
I'm using my old PS1 Hori joystick for the PC these days, mainly for KOF emulation.
Pretty good luck there. Let's hope the DVD's not scratched, though. Lest you will need to convince the store that an "unknown item" with a ridiculous price is supposed to be the game.Quote:

A few months back I was on a first dinner date with my ex (@ the time she was my girl) at PF Changs. It was a random night, nothing special or a special reason. While we were being seated, (again randomly) I froze and my girlfriend asked me what was wrong. I laughed and said, there's a girl over there that I know, She kept pestering me because I was laughing and asked me why. Turns out that I was sitting in direct view and angle of a girl I had a huge crush in high school and never asked out. It was really awkward for the both of us. The other girl was on a big family birthday thing for one of her aunts. But she was sitting directly in my view, the whole night. It was pretty nice actually. My last gf was a pretty decent chick, but this girl put her to shame physically. And my ex was 19 and I'm 24. After a while it was gross. The reason I'm happy is because our break up was pretty nice and clean, but I pretty much look at the whole experience as being half assed. Just two days ago, in a row, I saw her at two different stores. This is was a week after my break up from my ex.
I'm happy because I feel like I finally listened to gods simple obvious signs and asked her out.
How's PF Chang's? I've always heard it's a sort of upscale but run-of-the-mill type Chinese restaurant, the kind of place you'd take someone who's too picky for Chinese buffet, but too frugal for a really nice restaurant.Quote:

They had decent prices and excellent food, maybe the best Chinese restaurants I've ever been to, and I'm from Houston where there's a thousand restaurants. Went to a sweet bbq/house party in the OC and ate way too much delicious food, swung by a rooftop party at a ritzy hotel during the fireworks in Hollywood, then enjoyed a hot cappuccino and watched kung fu panda in a jacuzzi on the roof of a very swanky house overlooking LA.
Best 4th of July ever.

Day two at the swanky house. This time it was a bbq party with billiards, pool volleyball, karaoke, some more jacuzzi, and then finally some texas hold'em.
Damn that place is so awesome. If I were to guess the value of it, I'd say its somewhere between $10M - $20M. The guy even has lcd tv entertainment systems in every room, including the patio, rooftop (hence kung fu panda), and the master bathroom. I should be able to pull some pics of it off facebook shortly.
Oh and he owns a Lamborghini. lol. Must be awesome to be rich.
@enkoujin: That's quite a base thing to say, especially coming from a virgin.
Hmm... After careful analysis of Assertn's posts, I've reached the conclusion he was actually telling about his own new apartment, party, and car. But wanting to appear to have some modesty and in order to not make gotwooters too green with envy, he opted to mask the situation by referring to the owner in third person, as if it was actually somebody else, not our very own Assertn himself.
Which is what most people reading your post were thinking about you ^^ Sounds like you're living in the Entourage universe.Quote:

True. Then again, they're delicious, shes hot, and it's Italian food. I don't care who you are, if you ask, if it's Italian food, it's going to be good. Shes an import anyway, you know it's going to be good. Very few people dislike Italian food. Very fewQuote:

Well, I know how to cook a few good tasting meals. I know how to eat healthy, decent-tasting meals. This book gives you over 100 recipes designed by gourmet chefs and a professional nutritionist. It lists the nutritional value of every meal as well as categorizing them into when they should be eaten during the day. It's not really an ordinary cook book.Quote:

I was wondering whether US onions were really, really expensive. :p
Either you guys are completely unfamiliar with hyperbole or Onions in California really are that damn expensive.
I think the guy somehow tricked the machine into thinking he literally had 800 lbs of onions. He only had one bag when he walked out.
There's a hole or gap somewhere in the window trim where wasps are squeezing their way into my room from outside. I'll look over at the window and see a great hairy wasp walking around and it freaks me out (childhood trauma concerning wasps that has be scared of them to this day).
