I think he is just interested in the quick powerup for his Curse Seal. It going from Level 1 to Level 2. Maybe he also wants to learn some of those forbidden techniques from Orochimaru. I don't think he plans on staying with him long term, kind of use and abuse him.
I still think they hav built Itachi's powers up way to high. It is almost like he is unreachable for Sasuke now.

in a way i'm glad that Itachi's power is very high. If Sasuke was to reach that level especially now or in the near future, he'd be twice..no 100X as arrogant as he is now.

I mean "handsome" like he is now, only more evil looking, I'm guessing a pseudo-vampire look.
Something that i was thinking of is the lvl 2 curse seal and Sasuke. I wondered if he would have a transformation if/whenever he gets the lvl2 curse seal. So far the others who used it @ lvl 2 have ugly ass transformations...sasuke's doomed.

I'll heard that someone say that Kakashi took his Sharingan from the 4 hokage, But the theory seems a little fuzzy, He didnt come from the Uchiha clan.

i don't think sasuke truly understands how strong itachi really is. he probably doesn't know that orochimaru is weaker than itachi.
