man, soldier pills are broke.....there needs to be some sort of downside to them.....or else ninjas would be taking that stuff like crack

could be a possibility but its most likely just the same why everybody doesnt do the same easy and powerful jutsus. because it would be broing if every chracter did the same thing and out of it got doubled powers for a while.

Assuming Gaara will obey orders.
Gaara - Great offense, best defense.
Naruto - Great offense/decoy, best summoner.
Shikamaru - Great disabler, best tactician.
Dream Team: Shikamaru, Naruto, Gaara. i wont even state why.
Shikamaru Gaara and anyone else. Though I'd say Haku, someone mentioned him earlier and I wasn't considering him because he's dead, but very few people would be able to beat these three.
Haku can use his frozen mirror things (I forgot the name, it's been a while) and while distracting whoever's inside, Shikamaru uses shadowbind, he can move closer because the people inside the mirrors don't have to move very far, plus the mirrors have to cast a shadow giving him more range anyway. People inside can't move, Gaara sends his sand in and just crushes the person inside. I doubt anyone would be able to stop it other than summoning a giant something, at which point the peson would be forced out, possibly into a mirror which would probably cause death.
Are we talking a team composed of the strongest fighters, or a team who would be able to accomplish missions quickly and efficiently, which is what ninjas are meant to do (though we sometimes forget that because our main character is someone like Naruto).
god it has to have been 5 or 6 mins since i saw one of these threads...
Teamwork is more important than strength, so you have to think of people who could work well together, or at least not chafe under the leadership of one of the others.
And Shikamaru is STILL not a genin, or have we given up on the whole 'genin only' thing?
Temari, Kankuro and Gaara would be the strongest team, simply because they work together now that Gaara is not completely insane anymore and they are the only 3 genin in all of Sand, so I assume sand doesn't even need any more genin.
Temari and Gaara can handle defenses as well as long-range and close combat respectively. Kankuro is ideal for midrange combat and all the tricks inside Karasu and the new one make him very adaptable. It doesn't matter who is the leader, though Temari will probably become leader because she is the oldest and seems to be commanding them anyway.
whoever said that they are the only genin in sand village? they were the only genin that qualified for the chuunin exam that doesnt mean they were the only genin in sand village. you could do it like this. team leader: shikamaru 3 Genin: Naruto, Gaara, Neji. would probably be close to the strongest if you dont include kabuto and haku.

Sasuke - Sharingan
Neji - Byakugan
Naruto - Kyuubi

great have the biggest arrogant asshole in the world in the team... let neji and naruto sit back and watch when he dies.... the first thing he would do if he got paired with 2 other guys he would just say well im going for itachi i dont care what you 2 do. he doesnt listen to anyone which makes him the worst team player ever and not suitable for team.
and also those 3 will fight for leadership. so NO GOOD! By the way shikamaru would be really insane if he could increase the speed of his shadows...
