This made me smile today (make sure to turn your volume down a little). :D
When I took my final today and I knew most of the questions and answers :p
I just checked my grade in the class and I have an A. Moohahaha!!
I just got a quarter pound of lime green bud. I'm smiling from ear to ear.
Throwing a five-foot icicle into a snow drift like a spear, and pulling out a piece to find an end covered in dirt.
Lucky bastard - there is snow in your area!
I with my parents have finished all Christmas shopping... now only cooking this stuff is left.
Found 2 new Transformers I've been lookin for, that and I had Wendy's nuggets for lunch :D
Receiving a letter from my family, saying that they're alright made me feel warm. :)
Oh which ones?Quote:

I'm not too keen in the new animated series, since they're following this style which so many other cartoon series have adopted. But I'm glad your son likes it! For me, I wanted to get the movie version of Prime, since they were going for really cheap discounted prices, but it seems that he got so cheap I couldn't find him anymore...... :(Quote:

got term 1 marks back. passed everything, and with pretty decent grades :D. this just made my day.
I just celebrated the 1st month of my daughter with a Baby Shower kind of party at my place. To commemorate the event, we showed daily pics of her from day 1 to 30, since people kept saying infants' facial appearance changes very fast. You can see the pics here. :p
Nice one, Psyke! Keep it up! ;)Quote:

Don't think it's so sacred in Chinese culture. It's celebration!! Congrats again :)
Grats Psyke, cute baby.
As for me smiling, I found the whole first series of Naruto I burnt to DVD(the first 135, none of the filler) that when I moved I thought I lost. Decided to go through a box today I aint touched, just kept shuffling around the garage, and there they were right on top.
This year is ending well.
*Edit* Upon cleaning and trying to begin to rip them back onto my computer, i am discovering disc 1 out of 9 isn't wanting to play nice, looks like it has a small scratch right by the outside of the disc, looks like i gotta find a resurfacer. damn it
Cartoon Network has been showing all the classic Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck/Tweety cartoons that I haven't seen aired in a while. This is what kids need more of today, less MTV and crap. I still crack up at these cartoons from the 70s and 80s.
sad for you that only canada has teletoon retro. they air the bugs bunny and tweety show, along with others like the smurfs and woody woodpecker, like twice a day.
i smiled when i checked my bank account this morning and discovered that i have more money at the moment than i know what to do with. it's a good thing everything was closed today or a good portion of it would've been gone already
Wife let me order Revoltech 2G Sabre, gonna look nice on my shelf when it arrives.
Sadly I have to wait on trying to get EVA units.
Installed XP on a laptop today. Had to download like a million security updates. For some reason that made me smile. :o
Installing XP made you smile? that is one of most boring things to do ever... excluding GenToo stage 1 install...
It was more a sad smile at just how many fixes it takes to make XP "safe". Otherwise, yes, XP was a pain. Especially working with laptop companies who haven't streamlined their driver-update service. That wiped the smile off my face.
What made me smile today? Today just waking up made me happy, but knowing that I had to get out of bed made me kinda sad. But I was smiling once again when I came out and saw that the sun as out and the it was a very nice day, a bit cold but nice nevertheless; even the cold can be nice when it is constant and appreiate .
Today I was just in a good mood I guess, just know that it was a new year another day i get to live; not that i am dying or anything, was a good thing.
Does it sound weird, that I am actually happy that i am approaching an age closer to the way that i feel. Does it sound weird that I am conversing and interacting with people that i consider to be worthwhile, at the same time i am not considered a kid at the same time.
It's a new year another day and my thoughts are a bit more clearer than they were a year ago.
I am finally waking down a path that i consider to be one that i actually want travel and not one that i am force to drag my feet on.
Bought a second-hand Dell Inspiron 1501 (dual core version) for $300. Good-bye to queuing for (and often unsuccessfully for) laptops/desktops at the Uni IT desk :D
Battery's shot though, so I'll have to bid a 9-cell one off eBay for <$100. Still a pretty good buy IMO. Came from a friend too, so I'm confident it's in working condition, and it looks like the widescreen is keeping me from my more powerful desktop :)
I finally got around to learning kendo. Vigorious training and steady stances are very aching, not to mention the teacher that gives out the lessons is very harsh and professional.
Someone challenged him to a one on one, to which the challenger got beaten in about a minute. Needless to say, nobody else dared to fight him again. :p
Was he aggressive? Or the quiet type who nails you in one strike before you know it? (This ain't the Anime Recommendation thread, but seeing you enjoy Kendo, I suggest Bamboo Blade :))
Thanks, but I watched Bamboo Blade before, and I quite enjoyed it.Quote:

And i still prefer feints, and for real fights - i heard that sword brotherhood guys are a lot better than kendo guys, even if kendo guy is 1 year of training ahead of them.
Kendo is different from real sword fight, as you practice on the grace of your sword's movement rather than the brute force. Agility is required for kendo, as well as stamina.Quote:

I was on place called "Forts" here - series of old fortifications inside small mountain, there were physics experiments and invention presentations, guitar effects, simulation of nuclear reactor(hydro), hologram, spherical screen for showing planets etc. totally awesome!

Awesome. One of my Spanish professors made a similar slip last semester. He was explaining how English speakers can hear the difference between certain consonants, regardless of whether or not they are aspirated. He gave the following three examples:
Top
Tot
Tock
When he said them out loud with his back turned to us, it came out differently than he intended:
Top
Tot
Cock
He made that mistake 3 times within a span of 10 minutes. My chest hurt so much from holding in the laughter.
I watched Asterix and Obelix cartoon in my French class (in English language) and I must say: the dub is beyond terrible. They even made the announcement at the beginning, "When you are watching this cartoon, the lip-syncing might not match the words that we speak..." My French teacher later showed us the Asterix and Obelix movie, which was way better than the dub of the cartoon. That just made me smile.
I work as a projector operator in a movie theatre and today me and my colleague got the instructions to montage a couple of trailers before the Bollywood movie Chandi Chowk To China. My colleague did the montage on the movie whilest I went checking on other rooms. Suddenly we recieved message that the wrong movie was being shown... A grave mistake for a almost full room of 495 seats. We swiftly stopped and started the right one. Later on, when I was on my way to do some tech solving, our theatre manager called me to him and asked me if I was the one who arranged the Bollywood movie. I replied; "Nope, it wasn't me!" innocently, with my hands up.
I turned around and he pushed me in the back, aggravated, while I walked away, smiling... :)

The infamous "pause" hack in Warcraft III has been around for quite some time. Even though Blizzard is trying their best at fixing it, many people are still victimized by this lethal hack. It pauses the game three times in the beginning, then all of your commands and graphics are "locked" on screen, meaning they stay there forever. You can't move your screen with your mouse, but you can move it with your keyboard; you can't drag a box around to select units, but you can click them individually; you can't right-click on items, but you can use your keyboard. I managed to beat someone with "pause" hack, and that made me smile.
Warner and the Cardinals beat the Eagles 32 - 25, going to the Super Bowl. :)

I finally saw the last of a very bitter break-up today. I hadn't spoken to or seen my ex-girlfriend in over a month, until last night. I tried to confront her to make peace, to no avail. She told me to go away and cursed me out.
After it became painfully obvious that she hated me now and wanted absolutely nothing to do with me, I sent her a facebook message telling her I'd like to be her friend again some day. A word of warning: Never do that. Now she's severed all contact with me and resents me for being annoying.
The smiling part comes in just after I went through this. My favorite roommate who had moved out at the end of last semester came in at 3 in the morning to get the rest of his stuff. He was just the person I needed to see. I nearly cried.
It's quite bittersweet, feeling absolutely alone and lost, and at the same time knowing that you have mountains of friends who care about you and you can talk to. Makes me smile. The healing begins now.
My girlfriend saw an out of state license plate, ran over to me, and punched me in the arm.

Garden Spiders are pretty cool to have around, mainly because they do helpful things like protect your plants from other insects. We have about six-eight Garden Spiders that have taken up residence within our garden, and it's fun to see them devour the pests. They hardly bite humans, but if they do, it's usually harmless. :p
They are spiders, so i will keep away from them...
I just got great news for me - tomorrow i wont have Chemistry and German lessons! 1h late to school, and 1h sooner at home.
Well, it started to snow after the icy rain let up. So far, we have about two to three inches of snow. Not enough to build a large snowman, but it's something, I guess.
Instead of not having 2 lessons yesterday i only had 2 lessons.
Tomorrow is gonna be another great day(no polish (boring as hell) lesson)
Sushi 3pack (12 rolls) = $10 :D:D:D
Just completed subbing and timing for the latest Ultraman movie "Great Decisive Battle! Super Ultra 8 Brothers". Uploaded the srt file and knowing that the rest of the non-Japanese fans can enjoy the movie too made me smile.
Psyke a fansubber! Thats pretty cool, on that note, the preview of kamen rider decade you have on your blog looks badass, is it subbed already? Even though I understood them just fine in the video, i'd like to have subs anyway.

It's "fresh sushi", prepared on the day. It was just getting to the end of the day, so they packed it all into containers and wanted to get rid of them. They were of okay quality, though the stuff wasn't really that "fresh" for fresh sushi. I've had better.Quote:

Hearing "Final Countdown" on the car radio, while driving around in Saints Row 2. It kinda caught me off guard, as it's not the type of song I expected to hear in this game. Hearing it brought a smile to my face though.

edit: I just saw an episode of Family Guy where they have a commercial parody for Double Mint gum using conjoined twins instead of regular twins. Freaking hilarious.
I was playing my games when I suddenly recieved a message. I asked who he was and it turns out he was my long lost friend from five-six years ago. Much rejoicing and smiling was done, as well as some kick-ass gaming. :p
My father stopped using his laptop, so i got it. Its 3 years old one, but its enough for music, net and old RTS and RPG, and of course for 3d studio and similar programs. Now for LAN-parties i wont have to take my big box of doom that is big and heavy(with monitor of course)
only leet people show up to a lan party with a 20 inch, 50 pound crt monitor strapped to their back.
Who uses CRT? i take mine 22 widescreen LCD. CRT are damn heavy(I know from experience)
Three friends (two real life and one online) came and cheered me up. So, I'm pretty much myself again. I don't know what happened to me when I broke down, but I guess it probably won't happen again in a long time. :p
I do, why wouldn't you use CRT? >_>Quote:

I've seen people go on and on about how CRT's are superior to LCD's for gaming because they can display higher resolutions and different attributes... but I don't want a huge 30 pound screen taking up my whole desk, nobody does.
if you're gaming and somehow you have a lag or something its most likely going to have nothing to do w\ ur nice lcd screen.
I take back that there are no widescreen CRTs, but there are no widescreen CRTs in Poland.
And if i had something like that on my desk i would be sitting 10cm from the screen.
Playing burnout paradise like this made me smile ;o, never knew ati cards had the stretch-into-single-huge-monitor option aswell:

I just got a Behringer V-ampire LX110 guitar amp. Awesome sound, brb guitar.
In an attempt to cheer me up from my days-old depression, one of my friends thought it would be funny to "give a virus" to my other friend. They basically did the Windows Shutdown Virus and it produced some hilarious results, since my other friend ran a virus scan on it and no results came up. He was flipping out til we told him, and he scolded us. :D
My bass amp is a Behringer. I thought it was pretty good at first but now it crackles and pops whenever I play too loud using the neck pickup.Quote:

we needed a 1u server, and I just bought an auction for $370+30 shipping for 2 dell poweredge's w\ dual core xeons, 2gb ram, and 160gb hard drive.
We were quoted $850 for a similar server from this company and it had a 1.8ghz celeron 330, 2gb, and 2x 80gb hd (no raid)
Will be kindof funny when they're like... we only needed one server! you bought 2 ! lol
Keep 1 for yourself :p
What made me smile today is that my ex-girlfriend made it obvious that she's not over me yet, and probably never will be.
We broke up a month ago. I didn't call her on V-Day and now she's acting batshit insane again. Maybe she expected that I would want to get back with her?
Goddamn, all the more validation for how good I am in bed.
Today has so far has been mostly pain free. Its rather surprising, I'd forgotten what it felt like to be normal. Of course I'm not completely pain free but its nowhere near the level of pain I'm used to dealing with, of course that too is likely to change as the day progresses but its been a good day so far so I'm grateful.
Well it was Valentine's day so she's probably just lonely. It's not necessarily that she's still hot for you or that you're particularly good in bed.Quote:

I finally got around in finding a suitable job: a deskroom clerk. The job pays well despite the fact that I spend most of my time surfing on the internet and occasionally helping other people out. Other than that though, I do help reorganize files and do other tasks for other people when I have the free time, which is always.
