(I'm assuming they're utilizing all 47 of them, maybe bar Clare and Jeane, solely because they called it a union, or meeting or something in the preview.)

I don't think its all 47 Claymores. Knowing how most shows go, they're going to take their time introducing the numbers 1-5.

Even if they did use all of them,..I don't think the organization would flinch if a large portion were killed. From the looks of it, they're continually training and raising new warriors. .

The districts might not all be that essential, either. Some might have few yoma ever appearing, thus having little need for a continuous presence. And some might be ill suited for Yoma in general, like those closest to the base of the Claymores. While Clare was said to be in charge of an easy one, it could be in reality it wasn't the absolutely easiest but one easy for a regular Claymore who needs experience and training anyway. Maybe the badass Claymores are, nominally, in charge of regions that have little need for guarding and thus they are free to be used for hunting ABs regularly anywhere.

You Forgot about Miria, this entire ep was like a claymore overload. So many interesting people.

Yeah, this ep really showed off the human side of Claymores. Some got catty, some got scared, some got defensive. They acted much like a group of unrelated mercenaries would probably act if brought together for a tough mission.

@Knives: You make a good point, Mira was looking pretty Lordly standing up there looking down on them all. But then she got a lot softer and warm when it was just the Slashers alone in the cave. Its nice to see emotional range from some of these charachters.

I wonder how long it'll take before the other Claymores stop initially thinking Clare is useless... Now it didn't take long at all for her to possibly have saved the whole team.

If any greater number of them actually make it back alive from the North, you would think word would start to get around that 47 is not any hindrance.

Not their fault for thinking that. The only people who have actually fought with Clare are the slashers and Jean.

i love flora. although her technique seem to just be a variation of the flash sword. I think clare could probably do the same thing if she wanted, as it seems to be just a super fast movement.

Speaking of flash sword, what was clare trying to explain in teh beginning, about how thanx to jean, she learned that the flash sword could be controlled. I didn't get what that was all about. Can she now use it to its full potential, or is it that she can use it with her own had now as well....or is it something else?

She was saying how it was possible to still be in control even though a part of her(or all) was awakened. So she decided to test that with the flash sword(which is the right arm fully awakening).

So now she can pretty much have it do whatever she wants instead of it just slashing everything randomly.

That's pretty much what she was saying more or less.

Well she can't do absolutely anything with it. She seems to be able to make it avoid or home in on certain Yoki, so she could use it in close quarters with her allies and not cut them all to ribbons. She probably wouldn't be able to use it to toss a bowl of fruit in the air and only cut the apples though.

I dunno... I kinda like the fact that they all think that Clare is useless...

also, Galatea survived and the organization should be able to draw conclusions.

Its always nice to surprise the others, and it is only natural for them to assume clare is weak, having the weakest youki (the basic way to tell power) and the lowest number. Wouldnt it totally shock them if they realized that Clare cant die since she is the protagonist?

From what I gathered from what Miria said, they are not scouts... they are sacrifices while the Organization comes up with a plan.

He's talking about the 3 awakened beings that attacked them. Those are scouts.
