Indeed.
How can you [Buff] like Jun at all? She sucks at everything she does, doesn't have that much of a personality either.

New type of moe, failure moe. She sucks at everything so much it's cute?
Not in our world it isn't.
I think the whole idea is the Ganbatte! girl who tires hard and failure is essential in order for her to keep trying hard.
why kona had BIOS opened on all those monitors? and such old one?
Why couldn't they do a back up for Airi?
Iri seems to be some program covertly running in the Iru-O service that Kimijima Kou created. The people running it now (since he's dead) shouldn't know it exists, so it wouldn't be something they'd back up before they do a reboot even if they knew about it.
Poke-coms also seem to be things that merely display and receive information that is being fed by the Iru-O server, so I don't see them having the ability to trace Iri back to her source or anything fancy like that.
edit: I should correct myself and say that the Iru-O program on Poke-coms seem to be clients-only. The poke-com itself is a standalone system.
I mean why her PC's still use BIOS from decade ago instead of modern ones?
Because it gets the job done. People still use COBOL and FORTRAN. Maybe she also trusts it more.
Is anyone else starting to get the feeling that the Kimijima reports are achieving some secret, nefarious list of tasks in the event that Kimijima died and couldn't do it himself? That Kai is unwittingly helping some plan succeed?
I mean, sure, there are a lot of harmless bullshit time trials that he's mostly achieved through cheating, but there was also that radar dish that brought down the monopole.
Again, sure, the kids are using it to power their giant robot that's built for fun...but it still did something bizarre that shouldn't be happening. Who knows what other events are happening thanks to some satellite + Iro-O combination set off by the geotags being lit in a specific order.
Kimijima has all sorts of huge computer systems making beeps or holding frozen girls, that are amazingly still powered years after his death. Who knows what he might have a hidden one doing. Kaito could be setting off this whole disaster, tricked by a bunch of bullshit text in the reports which are backed up by contingencies that Kimijima set up a while ago.
At first I thought Iri and and Sister Centipede were in on it too, the former especially because she drops someone's guard, but that seems to not be the case. The latter may still be true.
But then why have Report No. 7 in existence if Airi has no idea where to find it, and to have it remain unopened till now without any prerequisites other than the previous 6 reports?
I can't think of Kimijima Kou as a bad guy right this moment, but your theory does give a point to the seemingly senseless trials.
Like I said, buried in my rambling post, the reports would be garbage to trick the person completing the tasks (which are also mostly garbage) into continuing. Occasionally, the reports would be backed up by part of an action so it seems real. Like, dropping one monopole to earth while creating thousands or something.
That doesn't quite fly with the robot revolution though, since whoever it was specifically targeted at Kona to rattle her (and to provoke her mother if she is still alive). Kou wouldn't have known she would turn into a hacker/programmer.
But Number 7 has no task. If the report itself is just nonsense used for completing tasks, Kou could have made just the first six.Quote:
