I dont think Galatea's mission has anything with whether she wants to save her comrades or not. The risk was probably makes up her decisions. Since Riful is down there in the dungeon she would really want to just grab clare n gtfo. But it seems these claymore try to act cool all the time, forgot what's really stiring up.
-
I wonder how will they survive the upcoming battle. They seem to be overpowered by duff and Riful. Guess there's no choice but to run :D
-
don't you know the laws of anime?
If they're stronger than you, they're faster than you. Thus, if you're outmatched, you have no ability to run away. The only time, therefore, that running away in anime is feasible is when you're outnumbered by a large group of opponents who are all slightly weaker than you.
Claymore is no different. Ophelia was stronger than Clare. Thus, she was also faster than Clare, and caught up to her easily.
Or, to put it another way, the only way they're going to get out alive is if they survive Duff and then the overwhelming Riful lets them go.
-
True, but there maybe other factors that will contribute to Clare and Galatea's possible escape. Such as the posibility of Jean helping them sacrificing herself in the process(whether AB mode or back to clamore mode), Riful lets them off wanting to be "cool" or she will be bored, caught Riful off guard that would lead to their escape and lastly, miraculously, they beat duff and was able to escape.
don't you know the possibilities for the main character in an anime? :D
-
Riful has already been toying with them this whole time, I don't think anything is going to change unless she allows it.
-
My best guess that Riful will learn about Clare and Pricilla's past. Thinking it would be interesting, she let them live.
-
Not to mention they could cause a cave in to buy time to escape?
-
I want Riku to go "Damn-cool-entrance-one-shot-enemy-boss" on Riful. That AB pisses me off and we don't got to see the kid lately.
-
If by Riku you mean Raki, I highly doubt that.
-
The problem with Clare and Galatea escaping though is that then Galatea will take Clare into custody, for whatever purpose the organization wants and I doubt they'll let her keep wandering around looking for Priscilla or Raki. This is something that Clare can't let happen, and I don't think the series is heading this way. So, operating on the assumption that Clare will not be going back to the organization anytime soon, Galatea must either be killed or so badly wounded that she cannot stop Clare at the end of this confrontation. My guess is that Riful will be interested enough by Clare's hatred for Priscilla to allow her to go hunt her down. Or perhaps strike a deal with her involving the other two Claymores.
-
Interesting theory, this is certainly plausible and i don't think that any of them can defeat Riful together or otherwise. Also i think it is too soon to even thinking about Riful dying since she is one of the three strongest and it is quite apparent that she has information about the organization that is yet to be revealed. Guess that we will just have to wait and see.
-
I am tending to think one of three things will happen:
1) Clare escapes, because one or more claymores sacrificed themselves.
2) Someone stronger comes and helps (Alice or Beth, or our mysterious No. 5, Rafalea or something)
3) Riful lets them live but they have to fight the Northern Awakened and Pricillia. (Clare, atleast)
-
Im tired of people (well monsters as Riful puts it) sacrificing themselves for Clare, or anymore sacrifices in this show at least for a while. Im thinking that Duff will die in this encounter, and I hope Riful just shrugs her shoulders and goes bleh, was just another pawn anyway.

Where's our weekly ep ?
Edit : Was worried about some show cancellation.

good stuff, good stuff. This show really does not disappoint. I was totally wrong about Galatea, I kinda overestimated Clare's abilities... she couldn't even take on Duff... I'm liking Riful more and more, and the showdown between the three Dwellers of the Deep offers some interesting prospects, especially since Priscilla's involved.
I think Kitkat's theory on what happens next makes the most sense. I'm thinking that both Galatea and Jeane bite it, while Clare escapes. I'm still not sure Riful will just let her walk out though... she did seem intriguied about Clare's obsession with killing Priscilla, but she egged her on for the main purpose of getting her to Awaken... When she wants something, Riful is going to get it, and I'm pretty sure she'll want Clare Awakened and on her side
...inazuma, whining is not very becoming...

Riful form is GIGANTIC Duff looked so small compared to her.
-
Wow, jsut done right amazing episode. I thought for a moment Clare was somehow gonna join up with Riful. Wonder if Jeane will be tagging along with Clare now? Way too lazy to comment anymore. That episode was awesome though.
-
well, again i was wrong... Riful did decide that 'the enemy of my enemy is... well, at least potentially useful and intriguing' I was actually really surprised and a little bit touched when she was saying why she saved Duff's life. To think that such a twisted little bitch could have those kind of emotional connections (with someone as useless and stupid as Duff...) was a shock.
I so thought Galatea was going to be a bitch and end up killing Jeane, but that was another pleasant surprise...
Preview for the next episode looks crazy. Dozens of Claymores, hints of a plot within the Organization, heading up towards Easley's domain. I can't wait!

Great episode as always, the north arc is promissing. But now I really wonder who are the guys managing the organisation. In the end, this claymore thing is maybe not all about Hack'n slash.
