I want to move to Colorado into the mountains because A.) I love the mountains anyway, B.) there are more friggin' trees around C.) because of A and B I'm not surrounded by farmland and people who think they're cowboys when you know for a fact only a certain percentage of them could actually ride a mechanical bull without getting killed.
But that's beside the point. Why did I look out the window? Because a huge freaking thunderstorm is rolling my way. No, I do not have a problem with thunderstorms. Hell, I've been at 12,000 feet while hiking and got to our campsite and slept through a loud storm in a small tent that had metal poles. In fact, I enjoy them for the most part.
What I do not enjoy is the fact that because I live in the land of no trees where the farmland gets used so much there aren't any real nutrients left in it, these kinds of storms at this point in the season have a tendency to say to themselves, "Hey, I'm feelin' kinda twisty - maybe I'll draw some doodles in the ground below...la de da..." Thus the alarms go off, I freak out, and don't know where to go aside from the hallway because they told me on Sunday when the last tornado decided to skip past my town to stay in my room even though this room has some pretty big fucking windows.
I don't mind tornadoes in a way, I mean it's not like I have a grudge against mother nature or something, she's pretty cool and I enjoy her work. I just do not enjoy being in the path of her paintbrush, or in this case, airbrush. If I had my chance, I'd move, unlike those people who live right next to the Mississippi River who refuse to budge even though they've been flooded over about 10 times and want to stay because it's "pretty here."
So my rant in short? If those sirens go off again, I'm gonna be fucking pissed. (not to mention how a fire alarm went off on Monday at 10am).
Yeah, I know this was longer than it probably needed to be, but I tend to ramble when I get into something. Hope ya enjoyed my bitching.

Well, it's always possible to go to the bookmarks editor (whatever it's called in English - I have a localised version), and export the bookmarks. Save them in a safe place, uninstall the whole thing, install anew, and import the bookmarks if they disappeared. It should work.Quote:

So I'm at my Tech bench where I work and I get a phone call. the person cames to have a problem with their computer (Surprise, surprise) This is the conversion
Me: "May I ask what operating system you are running today?"
Customer: "A computer."
Me: "Yes I know that, What operating system are you running? Windows 95?"
Customer: (a little too excited) "95, 97, 98, I've got them all!"
Me: "Do you know what operating system you're on?"
Customer: "Hmmm...what would be a good answer?"
Me: "Ok what does your computer look like"
Customer: I don't know it's White, and stuff, the box it came in said it was a Mac,
Me: "what kind of Mac do you have?"
Customer ( in a indignant voice) "Duh, Intosh."

The level of stupidity among the current population is simply absurd. If Hitler was fighting in today's age and said he's killing Jews because they're all idiots, I bet a lot more people would support him. In the next election, if one of the candidates' platform contains something along the lines of "exterminate idiots from our country" I'd vote for that.

What is more interesting is that people have stepped off-topic to relate about my work and post about it. Many of those quotes are not really from those that came off (to me ) that they simply didn't know what it was they were relating to. More that they thought that they did, thats not saying all the stupid questions (to me) are easy for people to understand. I do know of many nice folk that have asked for my help and argreed with my answers as they trusted my experiance in these matters.
