I just started reading the manga from the end of the OVA -- so where Gon and Killua meet Kaito. Holy shit, those ant dudes are bad ass. I like the simplicity of the story. The ants want to eat humans. No mad scientists or silly conspiracies. Just a plain old food chain adjustment, and a species strong enough to maybe become top predator.
The only problem is that this arc has been going on FOREEEEEEEVER.
dammit, got my hopes up for nothing.
well, now it's time to disappoint somebody else.
Done and done... =[Quote:

The next issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine will reportedly announce that Yoshihiro Togashi will restart his Hunter X Hunter shōnen action manga in next year's combined 5th/6th issue on January 4.
Togashi is well-known for halting and restarting his manga for months at a time. Togashi published his last run of the manga from October 6, 2008 to December, 2008. During that same period, Shueisha published the 26th compiled book volume of the manga.
Not coincidentally, Viz Media will publish the 26th volume of the manga in North America in January.
Edit: Found a pic.
go TOGASHI!
that means at least five chapters (maybe even ten!)
maybe we'll get to see Ikaruga finishing the fight with the shrew-lobster...
seriously, it's great news, although sometimes I think he and Miura and having a race to see who can release less chapters.
I'm going to have to re-read those last chapters. The last thing I remember was Cell and Netero respecting each other, and Netero thinking he was going to die.
those fights are now officially longer then every dbz fight combined. I really hope this last 'break' has allowed him to complete this arc and start on the next one. I'd like to see gon search for his dad before i turn 30.
Or Killua betray Gon.
Finally can't wait for more. Hopefully he's feeling a lot better after this long break. Anyone know what sickness does he have?
According to the Japanese wiki, he isn't sick. He just likes to take breaks to play the latest games, go on trips, and participate in doujinshi sale exhibitions.
Oh man I chuckled.Quote:
