Actually, without the water paper touch on the edge, it looked it even worse. I might be able to change that to something else, though. Also, the render is technically grey instead of green; I set it to luminosity by accident, and, well, it for some reason looked good to me that late at night. I can absolutely see where you guys are coming from, though.
just keep making sigs and I'll gladly help you improve ;)

There's something I hate about this, but I can't put my finger on it. The text needs a better alias, but I find it to be a bit better fitting than in my previous art.
I think you should read some of my tutorials I have posted up here. A lot of helpfull stuff I think you could use.
Yeah, I've seen a few of yours. They've been the most helpful, actually. The reason I think the Gaara one was so succesful was because of the way I used the c4d renders. I might try another one based off of c4d renders again soon, actually.

A lot better then your previous two, but don't take the color away from the render. You want to make the bg blend with the render, not the other way around.

So, I made this trying to keep in mind what you said about the background matching the render, I attempted a sort of multi-color ._.

The render got a bit messy, but I still completely missed the point anyway :/ It also ended up looking too much like a brushed background instead of a gradient with texture...
master_me, please be sure to link your sigs if your art contains images used from the Naruto manga. I changed it for you because technically, they are considered spoilers. You haven't been warned so don't worry, but please remember this for the future.

I usually brush on the adjustment layers so only certain parts are affected. This way you can maintain the colors and still achieve the blending.Quote:

the right side is great but the left is lacking a bit. And might this be smudge then sharpen? Fun technique.
And you might wanna make the part where it fades to back have a better transition so it actually fades and not just stops.

I know, I've been meaning to get back into Photoshop...but my brushes right now are mixed up. Their either crappy or useful. I need to find some time to just go through them all...unless you all have some recommended artists from DeviantArt that I should check out and stick with. I'll post a screenshot of my brushes later, maybe you can tell me what I should ditch and keep since you know whats good and all.

My brushes. I've renamed all the brush files but I think the artist name is intact for most of them. My favorites are MetalCX Stormy, Spazz Lighting 2, Spazz Lighting 3 and Zinc Abstract 1. The Destiny abstracts are pretty nice too, but in terms of usefulness I think Spazz Lighting 2/3 rank first on my list.Quote:
