My favs are Neji/Shika/Ino
gai would open all the gates and then do the primary lotus with Lee in his arms so that when he landed they would be both pulverised (together), while going over the hidden village of leaf's Mt rushmore,

That guy who accompanied Itachi...I disremember his name. He had that chakra eating sword. I just liked his sword really...LOL. But my favorite side character would have to be Itachi. Orochimaru seems like a really cool baddie to me, so I'd vote for him.
The coolest side char is by far Shikamaru.
He has brains and can kick butt if he is not feeling too lazy.
The fact that he is kinda lazy also is kewl cause everyone can relate to laziness.
