Inconsistent, is an understatement. We didn't even get to see 8 Jinchuuriki because apparently 3 of them were already captured before Akatsuki even went after Gaara.

So what is the point of showing us them now?

Nice pics. There really doesn't need to explain what happened when they were captured. This mainly serves as a teaser for back stories or gaidens. Although, there are already so many characters which deserve more time. Really, I've had enough of Sasuke already.....

We might get to see the carriers if they have a bijju retrieveal arc. Like once akatsuki is defeated they destroy that totem that contains them and the need the original hosts or something. But then that would make another hole in the story cuz the hosts are supposed to die afterwards. I dunno there are prolly ways the could bs them back into the story.
