Just bought Gundam Seed Destiny: Generation of C.E for PS2. Opening movie looks great!
Whats the scoop on Age of Empires 3? Any official dates. I mean that is one really sick game and i just can't wait to play the third installment. Heard they are gonna be using half life 2's havok physics engine to create rag doll effects. Thats some awesome shit for a strategy game.
Right now im playing Arc the Lad: End of Darkness, the game is good so far, but I like the spirits within
I dunno when this game came out, but it seems like for quite a while. Disgaea!! Such an awesome tactics game! And what's even better is that it's anime style (well, at least in my eyes, hehe).
You should make a topic and review that game in the Destiny forums later on. Quote:

Actually im joining one of the best clans worldwide soon in CoDUO.. =)
I've been playing:
Vampire - The Masquerade Bloodlines: a good game, if you can get past the remaining bugs it has, even with the unofficial patches. I needed a KoTOR replacement anyway.
SHUFFLE! : Though I can't read a word of it, it's still one of the best looking h-games I've seen.
Pocky and Rocky 2: HARDEST SNES game ever. So much fun though.
And hopefully this afternoon, Day of Defeat:Souce
Last weekend I played a lot of Resident Evil 4. It was the first time I played it, and it was quite hilarious, because I was at this house party which was relatively boring so I went up to the owner's Gamecube and inserted the game. I only remember fragments of the gameplay itself but I know that I ran around in a forest and I kept running back to see some damn cutscene with a police yelling something. So I couldn't go back that way. I'm assuming it was very early in the game.
Anyway, I'm buying it.
lol i played a demo of it and the funny part was that there was a police man that got killed and was hanging on a pole
replaying kingdom hearts, i don't care what you people say! sephiroth is a pain in the ass!
Your replaying KH, yet Sephiroth is giving you trouble? Once you beat him the first time, it gets easier to do it again.Quote:

Sadly I never beat him either in KH. Anyways I'm currently playing Radiata Stories. Its such a great and funny rpg from Square-Enix, only problem I have with it is that I didnt really like the the interactions between Jack and Ridley the second half but it's from tri ace and the second half of this is better then SO3.Quote:

Back to my Counter Strike Source craze.... damn that game is addicting...

Shit, Sephiroth was damn hard. But, as Phoenix states - He gets easier once you get him down that first time.Quote:

You guys ever see the Final Mix version with Sephiroth? There's a few scenes of Cloud v. Sephiroth. Pretty coo' schtuff.
Anyway ..
I'm still playing City of Heroes, for PC. Burnout Revenge for PS2, and I just started playing Resident Evil 4, late Wednesday night. Haven't put too much time into it, but I saw a few coworkers playing, which really got me interested.

Anyone tried out Kingdom Hearts for GBA? I'm thinking about playing that, but I would like to hear some opinions about it, if possible.
i tried it on a computer emulator, the fighting system is kinda whacked and cool at the same time. cards control you fate, in orther words, if you have crappy cards your screwed. you dont have partners in the game (like you do for KH1) but you get goofy and donald cards, in other words, when you use 1 of those cards, they'll appear and do a magic spell, or charge into somebody. There is something called combo(ing) and you can stack up cards together (this is how you use your skills from KH1 like 3 keyblades that add up to 10 allows you to do an air combo or something (its an example) and if you group 3 donalds together he'll use either a chain of spells or a really powerful spell. to use magic you guessed it, you need magic cards, grouping together cards gets you the different levels of spells (ex. fire-fira-firaga) and there are also other summons (like simba, genie etc.) the story you go through is you enter a castle and you must climb through to the top of the castle, (i think there are 10 levels) and if you watched KH deep dive (you'd seen that there were a bunch of guys in hooded cloaks) and some of them are revealed here. (riku comes back but i wont say what kinda role he has) there is usually a boss or a main part of the story waiting for you at each floor. and pretty much you dont need to play this game in order to play KH2 (and understand it) because the final outcome of this game doesnt affect the beginning of KH2 (or so i've been told i never finished it b4 i reformatted my computer)
to sum it up, if your a big KH fan play this game if your playing this game because you like the KH battle system then dont bother because its completely different. i give:
battle: 5/10
story: 8/10
music: 6/10
graphics: 7/10
overall: 7/10 (only because its kingdom hearts)
I bought Z.O.E the Second Runner. I was looking for a cheap game to buy and found that one. It came out a while ago so thats why it was 20$. I played the first one and though it was good so I got it.
I really liked it, even more than the first one. And this one had anime sequences instead of CG. Though like the other Z.O.E game it was pretty short but good nonetheless.
Zone Of Enders is a sweet game, but aren't they going to make a part 3? Anyways im currently playing Saga Frontier that I bought from ebay.
i just wished zone of enders wasn't as short as it was as well. just wish the next one they make is longer. finished kingdom hearts and finally beat sephiroth! now playing zelda..
Not playing as many games with uni in the way, but I've been giving Fear mp demo a little go. Its pretty good, and if you get fed up with using guns, press H and use melee attacks instead
Started playing Anarchy Online too, my first mmo so far, but not played it for a while now.
Also I keep meaning to install CoD2 demo and give that a go, but I do find myself going back to hl2dm and cs: source now and again
Currently replaying Shinobi for the PS2. I'm on Hard Mode and getting my ass kicked in Stage 4-B...
Been playing Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow for NDS.
It's bitchin'.
cs 1.6
Just started Resident Evil Outbreak File 2 offline then i intend to go online.
Alundra for the PSX and Maple Story. Alundra....what can I say? It's hillarious! The story is described as dark and it is, because people just keep dying. In one of the early missions, you're on a rescue operation in a collapsed mine. There's a good background story to it, which also happens to be pretty funny. To make a short story shorter, no one survives. In fact, a couple of them die in pretty hillarious ways. A lot of the comedy comes from the kiddy artwork and music though. Hard to believe something that cute could be so dark.
Maple story....possibly the chodiest game of all time. If its second to anything, its mario or kirby. also a hell of a lot of fun. Other than saying its a 2-d mmorpg, I don't know how to describe it. What I will say is that this is the first mmorpg that I've played that I don't get tired of, unless I get physically tired. Consequently, its the only one that requires me to actively set a constraint on play time. Very addictive. One huge pitfall though; as far as I know, there is no PvP in this game.
I have this, but I have not even played the first one. How are you liking this game, or the series of Outbreak Files?Quote:

Like you i havent played the first one so i can only comment about this one. In singleplayer mode its very boring and you have no choice but to play with 2 npc's which so far have only held me back. For example i was playing as Kevin and my partners were Yoko and David in order to progress through the game i needed a key from david but he wouldent hand it over...So i had to start again with another partner, They also wont normally attack anything unless you say "Help me" which is stupid tbh. Online is completely different your playing with people who have had the same feelings towards the npc's and will do their best to help you. And the satisfaction you get from saving a noob from a giant flea is great. On the downside you always get total arseholes online who only want to screw your game up by stealing all the recovery items and shooting all the bullets in a gun and leaving it there for you just to rub it in...If you can find a group of people to play with then its all good and very hard to stop playing. If you have it there and can get your ps2 online then do it now if your offline then ive been told its not much different from the original
Just finished FFX for the second time. 120 hours, sphere grid completed for every character. w00t!!
EDIT: Whoohoo! Jounin!
*Looks in disc trays*
It looks like Civilization III Conquests, and Diablo II - Lord of Destruction
313 hours, and still going.Quote:

Going for Perfect Sphere Grid and Max Stats.
Meaning, I'm going back and erasing all the +2's and +3's, and filling them back up with +4's. No +100HP or +200HP, all +300HP's. And, having everyone completely fill the sphere grid on their own. Also, getting all of those damn items from the Shinryu, to get the "Break HP Limit" is so extremely tedious. But, I'll get there soon enough.
/on-topic
I'm still mainly playing City of Heroes & Burnout Revenge .. been wanting to finish FFVII. I never did beat that game. Or come close to the ending. .. I just got to the part where the Weapons were released from the North Crater, I think it was ..

Yeah, they're bitchin'. Some of them gave me ulcers. I prayed to gamefaqs during that period.
Just got myself a free PSP via a 3 year broadband plan with my ISP. Currently playing Ridge Racer and Gundam Battle Tactics.
Very sweet, Psyke.
I'm one of the people who feel they wasted their money on getting one.
I'm currently enthralled and completely engrossed by Resident Evil 4. Game is so damn addicting, and good.
I'm running out of Shotgun shells, though! .. They really should sell ammunition!
Shotgun = the modern day holy water.
There is no better tool to fight the legions of evil than a 12 gauge double barrell.
Just got into the castle, with the "Riot Gun."
Man, that shotgun is so powerful. I'm blowing these cult plagas skulls all over these castle walls. However, again .. I am running so low on ammo for it, that I'm wondering what the hell am I going to do with little to no herbs and an empty shotgun?
And, on-topic .. after a few hours of drinking tonight, I'm going to try and get another level or three in City of Villains. That game is also very good.
that's what the other guns are for. Save the shotgun for extremely close range... as close as you can get without them eating you. Snipe the longest range stuff if you can. Use the handgun or the smg (if you've got one) for midrange. You'd be surprised how much punch the other weapons you're running across can pack.
It's all about ammo economics. They'll hand you the ammo you need, as long as you're shooting everything in the head, and upgrading or replacing your weapons regularly.
Lately I've been trying to finish out mastering every mantra for every character in Digital Devil Saga, because DDS2, Xenosaga ep 2, and La Pucelle are all coming on monday. Also, for kicks, trying to unlock celestial weapons and max out the sphere grid in FFX. But I don't think I'll finish, I'm down to "minigame" weapons (chocobo racing, hours of blitzball, lightning dodge, butterfly catching) and luck nodes to fill in (and killing Greater Sphere and Earth Eater over and over and over again just doesn't appeal to me much either).
I'm less than 10 million gil away from mastering the DDS mantras -- serph is already done, Gale is on his last mantra, Heat and Argilla have one more to buy each, Cielo has 2 more to buy. Still haven't beaten Hitoshura, but I've seen him hit my whole party for 6000+, which is entertaining, being 6 times more than I have, and 2x more than the best hits I've ever dealt to anything.
You shameless....SHAMELESS man! Gamefaqs........pffft! I didn't use it, consequently, I haven't beaten the game yet. I decided to take a short break from it, and then found out about final fantasy tactics and I haven't looked back. I'll be going back real soon. Those puzzles were fantastic. Oh, and if you do like puzzles that wipe the floor with you, you should try Alundra. I somehow forgot to mention just how hard a lot of those puzzles are on my earlier post about it.Quote:

Im currently playing Shadow of the Colossus its from the same makers as ICO. Only 2 hours into the game and its one of my favorite games of all time, The story is about a boy who is trying to revive this girl, After a long journey to some temple he places the girl on the alter in the centre and starts hearing a voice from above. The voice says that in order to resurect the girl he needs to defeat some giagantic monsters called colossi, When he has defeated them all she will be resurected. Thats the basic story, Much like ICO you will have to climb, Jump and use your weapons to acsess different areas you also get a cool horse by the name of Argo which you can explore the massive area the game is based in, With argo you can use lots of cool attacks aswell like using a bow and arrow while galloping and when traveling at speed you can stand on Argo's back and jump for extra height to acsess different places. i would rate this game 9/10 the only reason i wouldent rate it 10 is due to the poor fps because of the vast landscape and all the details that have been made this game runs slow at times but it really is not a big deal. If you liked ICO and the amazing visuals then this wont let you down, Buy it now
Official Website
I just dumped like 15 hours into La Pucelle (by the makers of Disgaea, but I'm pretty sure it predates disgaea by a fair bit). Same disgaea engine, with some minor differences that amount to the whole combat system being just a little slower paced. So far, no insanely-high numbers (but I wouldn't rule it out yet either).
I'm up to like chapter 6 or 7 now, and it's pretty fun. If you like tactical rpgs, it's a pretty good one. It's no disgaea, and there's a couple spots where you really start wishing it WERE disgaea (the "world map" is a bit clumsy, and there's some badly planned sections where they give you fairly tough dungeons without the option to save for the duration). But other than minor nitpicks, it's definitely a very good tactical rpg.
Currently engaged in Maple Story. See other thread for details
