Like I've said before... nothing happens without a reason on this series... don't expect filler... every single episode has been properly animated from the Novel. The current events take place during the 4th Novel. Every single one of the previous arcs has its own novel.
I don't know if Tsuchimikado can quite possibly fit the Level 5 category, since he's in the same boat as his blue-haired friend for not displaying anything extraordinary other than go to review sessions with Touma and him. Whatever he has in stored for us, we can probably wait until next episode or so to see what he can do.Quote:

In addition, who said that Espers can't be members of Necessarius? They aren't mages, just an association of those who deal with magic and Espers from the churches. They are a religious association, like Masons, Knights Templar, Opus Dei, vampire hunters or any other secret organization that is commonly abused in fiction. It just so happens that most of the members of Necessarius and Annihilatus are mages because that's what they know best.
Just because espers are science and magic is divine, doesn't mean they can't cooperate. The Catholic Church has dozens of scientists. One of them even recently decreed the possibility of alien life to exist and mused on the idea of where they stand in God's vision. Science or even science fiction and religion are not mutually exclusive.
Tsuchimikado doesn't have to know how to use magic, he can know about it just the same as Touma once did. Or Loli-sensei or even Index.
But they also slipped in the lines from Misha Kruschschev and Kanzaki about how there was some corruptive way that Espers could utilize magic.

but you might be right with thje connection between the Academic City and the Church.
when they passed the city limit, Index seemed to have something like an ID now...
or did the" ****** " mean that she didn't have pme and the guy wasn't really looking and let them through? (but I wonder why her name was known then) I didn't understand that scene at all, how did he search for her in the first place? without typing a name or having something like a card.... some kind of "photo identification"?

hmmm, maybe they meant the "superpowers" there and not really "magic", but I doubt it.. but it must be somehow corruptive, because Index cleary said that Espers can't use magic.

I guess this would be expected since Index is animated by the same studio that did Shana. Still, the last panel made me smile for some reason. :D
did you notice a pun here? Kuro is black in Japanese and Ko(domo) is children. Still there might be other meaning - i haven't seen kanji for her nameQuote:

I take it Archie never saw the Shana-tan OVAs, or the Hecate-tan OVA for Shakugan no Shana.

2) Make uber-chibi
3) Make her say her trademark lines replacing all of the 's' sounds with 'ch'
e.g. "Urusai!" --> "Uruchai!"
4) Make her eat food larger than the size of her body.
5) Wait for fanboys and girls to hear about the OVAs only available on the two episodes per disc, $60USD DVDs or $80USD Blu-Ray.
6) No ??? required, just time.
7) Profit.
Tsuchimikado has the right kind of attitude: Since Touma helped Kanzaki (and Stiyl) with the Index situation, Kanzaki should pay back by granting Touma some fanservice...
Well, at least this episode explained what happens when a mage attempts to become an esper. Other than that, lots of running around in the episode.
So Tsuchimikado was the top on his own field... yet he lost the power for becoming an esper? I am really intesrested in knowing why would he do such a thing. Only for being a spy? Was his power as a Magician not good enough even if he was the top on his field?
Oh and I just love how they keep mistreating Index. Door slam!!
I only thought of one culprit, but she does seem like the type to do such a thing. Good episode, but same thing with RyougaZell, I wonder why Tsuchimikado wanted to become an Esper? His motives for just spying isn't exactly clear.

I guess I was wrong about Tsuchimikado. He actually was a former mage, now stuck with whatever his crappy esper is.
So if Touma's father is the caster, why would Misha care so much about is on her to be nullified? Whatever it is, I guess we'll find out next episode. I wonder if she's been charmed or some similar spell to make her a temporary ally of Touma's father. If Touma touched her, then maybe the spell would break, so she's been ordered to prevent that?
Ah, there have been some points in this series I almost want to spoil myself by reading the novels...
