Looks like there's a red airlock/trapdoor thing at the bottom that opens up when it's placed on the dispenser and closes when taken off.
Weird part is you can't see them on the empty cups off to her left. It's like they magically appear when she flips them over. They must be black/silver on the bottom and red on the top.
I imagine they lose a lot of these trick cups to guys who collect novelty items.
