I sense the ki of a monumental failure from this movie.
I'm guessing this will be like the recent Speed Racer movie: endlessly analyzed on the internet, but subpar results in the theatres. I have yet to see SR, and it will probably take a while for me to bother watching the DB movie.
Is Speed Racer still in theatres? If not, you've missed your chance. That movie was a fucking blast on the big screen, but probably won't have the same effect at home. Sort of like Cloverfield.
1. The movie is based on Dragonball (or at least the "beginning" of Goku's training), not DBZ.Quote:
how are they gonna make a movie about DBZ without DB?
and people will get confused when they see both dinasaures and machines,in the series it was clear that everything there is like in a different timeline but im sure people will ask when is this happening.
and ill bet the action wont be that good either X:
the rays will be bad and the fights will be invisible...
2. I'm sure in a movie where people shoot colored lasers at eachother and collect magical balls, most people can suspend their disbelief enough to accept that in a fantasy world, Dinosaurs can coexist with machines.
3. They probably won't include the dinosaurs. No one cares about them.
4. The action and fight scenes are probably the only things this movie have going for it.
5. Yes, the rays will probably be bad.
I remember when they just used massive puppets, and CONVINCING CGi if needed. RIP good movies.
I'll wait it out and give it a chance when it comes out. Just remember, it could be worse.

I think there's someone from FFVII (girl), and a hawian\greek warrior from God of War.
heck, 5 out of seven, and metalitron was a tough one.
Bulma, Oolong, Chichi, Roshi, Grandpa Gohan, Goku, Yamcha and Puar (not seen in the picture, but it's a talking bird sidekick of the character "Westwood")Quote:

Yeah I watched about half of it before I got bored.
Strangely this all-Asian cast seems like it made for an uninteresting movie. They look Chinese.Quote:

It's not, her name is Emmy, which is short for Emmanuelle.
I don't know how to feel about the gi. It looks right, but it's bluish-purple. Why stray from the orange?
It's homage to the very first gi which Goku wore in the beginning of Dragonball.Quote:

It sucks searching the internet these days for information about DB, since most results return information from this movie.
the blue gi looks pretty badass though, wouldn't mind having one myself :x
Don't worry, it will be on sale at Walmart around Halloween. It will be vinyl though, so it might itch a little.
Heck yes, I'm sure it will, most projectors are better quality than el cinema, and you don't have to put up with sticky floors and crying kids (usually).Quote:
