5th Hokage

Now that the 3rd Hokage is officially laid to rest, a new issue will arise...who will be the 5th hokage? At this point i like kakashi for the posiion, but i believe that the main reason is that he is the person i have seen the most out of. If he watched hokage fight while he used his sharingan, he could know several moves. I think that Jiraiya is probably too perverted to be hokage, especially considering that he had left the town for awhile and chose not to tell the 3rd about his return, so maybe he was embarassed about something he did or feared punishment for something...I really don't know.

And please, if you already know this either do not post or post only using information that has been given in the anime. I want to know what other people think, but i want to find out the actual result through the anime.

You have to remember, being Hokage is more than just what moves the person knows. What Hokage really means is someone who has mastered the way of the ninja so perfectly that they can lead the village effectively. In fact, the point of the last part of the last arc was to show that a true ninja's strength is not measured in Jutsus, but in how well they protect what is dear to them. The strongest in this category from what we've seen is Naruto, namely due to his fight against Gaara.

However, we must also look at the state Konoha is in right now. They have lost a good deal of Ninjas in the war, and probably need some time to recover. Also, while it has been delayed, it should be obvious that the threat of Orochimaru is no where near gone. The Hokage they choose must be strong enough to hold off such a threat. We have already seen that Kakashi doesn't stand a chance against Orochimaru, and so does no one else in Konoha. The only person that can fight a Sennin like Oro equally is another Sennin. Therefore, from what we've seen, Jiraiya is the best pick for Hokage on this category alone.

Putting the two together, however, it's anyone's guess. Naruto is not nearly old enough or strong enough to effectively lead Konoha in a time of war, and Jiraiya is too much of a skirt chaser.

You absolutely right about going to need another Sennin, but like j00b Jiriaya is to pervy so I think, because no one has ever said shes dead or not but the girl that was partnered up with Orchi and Jiriaya. I cant remember her name but they have mentioned her so I think they plan to bring her into the story. I could be wrong but I think that she would be the best hokage. Jiriaya didn't even really want to get involved with the war or what ever, his strong but not fit to be Hokage. So that only leaves one other person that is strong enough, and its her. Plus its time they get a girl in there as a hokage.

i don't know about that. first of all, the reason that i didn't mention naruto is that he is too young and i figure that the hokage needs to at least be a chuunin at some point. Secondly, i think that the hokage will be somebody who has been seen a lot in the village. If the other women was not in the city to help out, how do we know she is devoted enough to the village...we haven't even seen her yet (i think).

Yea I agree with LostAngel, Tsunade seem's like the best fit since she's a Sennin so I'm guessing she can hold her own against Oro. Jaraiya seem's like he's gonna split again and work on another novel like he did before. Another person I think it could be, would be Hiashi. I dunno if the Hyuuga main family goes threw the acadamy but he seem's to be Jounin level and seem's to be level's above both Kakashi and Gai.

I have a question and didn't want to make a topic for it. I have a song stuck in my head and I think it's a Naruto opening or ending. The part that's stuck in my head is the begining it start's off with somebody screaming Let's Go and I think the hook is I wanna Rock. Any help on this song would be greatly appreciated.

only in flashbacks. but if shes still alive and kicking we dont know where shes at so that would be sometype of arc. Naruto, I think he will somehow turn out to be the hokage but right now his to young.

They are going to have to find a 5th soon since the village is so critical and vulnerable so they might choose someone in the village.

I don't think they'll have a hokage any time soon. Maybe the hokage will be a group of high level jounnins?

Its possible it will be high level Jounins. True I dont think they will have a Hokage anytime soon, but they are going to want one quickly I would think.

i am pretty sure there can only be one hokage at a tme...i realize the 4th was chosen and initiated before the 3rd died, but i doubt there can be a group

Doesn't the previous Hokage choose a kid they think is fit and just train them. Because their was a flash back of the 1 and 2 telling the 3rd when he was about Narutos age he was going to be the next hokage.

Now considering Gai, and probably Asuma and Kurenai are around Kakashi's level, and the fact that Kakashi himself admitted that he had little or no chance against Orochimaru (during their encounter when he was trying to supress the cursed seal on Sasuke), you will realize that it is a very remote chance Kakshi will become Hokage.

If anything, at this point in the story, I would have chosen Jiyara to be the next Hokage.

I don't think the fact that Naruto protects his 2 best friends from Gaara is enough to qualify him as a Hokage. If that's the case just about any person in the series can become one, since most of them want to protect someone.

Even if Jir was offered the position of 5th I don't think he'd take it. He would rather do more "data collecting" for his second book.

Also I think maybe they introduced that purple hair girl for this job. Perhaps she'll be the first female Hokage? Just a guess =p. Maybe we haven't met the person yet. I think it will be interesting to see who it is though.

Well the Purple hair ANBU is probably equal or less at powerful as Kakashi. They are to weak to become Hokage. They make a big deal about the 3 sennin, Jiriaya, Orchi, and Tsunade. Orchi = Bad Jiriaya = Pervert Tsunade = only one left powerful enough to become the 5th and she will be the first female hokage. I just wonder how they will bring her into the story, because you know they have to bring her in even if they dont have her as the 5th. Mainly because shes a legendary ninja of the village. I dont think they ever said she was dead or something so she the only one that is qualified to become hokage.

Even though I would love to see Jiriaya become hokage bc his just funny as hell, but I doubt it.

yeah. but why would they have somebody be hokage who hadn't been around...the hokage needs to be someone they can always count on to be there, and being as we have seen nothing about that character aside from a few flashbacks, i highly doubt that tsunade will be the next hokage...unless of course tsunade is some other character and has just been concealing her identity.

I doubt they will make a new Hokage anytime soon considering the only Ninja in the village who has mastered 1000 Justsu's is kakashi and like as been said before he was not even a match for Orochimaru who the 3rd could not defeat so i would say the 5th will be introuduced later or it will be somone less common

Hyuuga Hyashi. The Hyuuga are the strongest in Konoha.
Then again, if he considers the village his family and treats the people there like it...
