IRC Problem

I'm not new to IRC...I've been using it for years, but I have come upon this problem. I just bought a new computer and installed mIRC on it. I entered my information, and when I try to connect to Rizon (/server irc.rizon.net) and even Aniverse (I'm assuming it's the same for all the servers), it says "Closing Link: 68.108.109.66 (Invalid username [~...])." Now, I tried different nicknames and such...Anyone having the same trouble? Any remedies? Thanks in advance.

Have you changed ISPs? Sounds like an ISP problem.

Yeah...Now I have wireless internet...Would that make a difference?
