ok, i have heard many good things about Ghost in the Shell, and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. i was wondering if i need to watch the movie, to understand the series, and do i have to watch the first season of the tv show to understand the 2nd season?

It was probably already asked... but... i dont think it matters when you see the movie, they are two different realities...
as far as the series goes, I imagine that you would have to watche the first one first... i'm still havent finished it so I cand answer you 100% certain
You don't need to watch the movie to understand the series.The series and movie take place in alternate universes.
Yes you need to watch the first season to understand the second.Its like watching Naruto 69 without watching the other 68 episodes.
