A strong premiere of a show that shouldn't work. Parts are so goofy that I assumed it couldn't carry any serious story, but I think it got there. The less you know going in, the better, as acclimating to the setting is part of the charm. I'm stoked for the adventure to come if the first few episodes are anything to go by. The girls' dynamics and banter are suitably cute and make a cozy atmosphere that contrasts the tense bits well. Recommended.
