Well here's basically what I'm thinking is gonna happen in the chapters to come...
After some of the other genins fall behind, Naruto comes face2face with Sasuke. Sasuke starts beating em up like they're nothing and starts transforming into the curse seal lvl 2 form. At this point Naruto tells Sasuke to stop... telling him not to become a monster like Garaa, Haku, and like himself, thus unleashing the full fury of kyubi.
I'm kinda hoping this'll happen cuz i don't want a Naruto Z where they're all older and got trained by each of the senins http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/dry.gif

but ill really like that this serie continues when they are old and are jounin's or higher rank and are training other genins!

sasuke is goin to lvl 2, no questions about it. he'll do anythin to get stronger and beat itachi. nothin like naruto's pleases are gonna stop him.

i have a feeling he will hit lvl 2, and then own naruto, THEN rock lee outta no where jumps in the fight to save naruto and pown sasuke up the ass real hard.

I think if it ends up being Sasuke and Naruto at the end Naruto will win so there needs to be some sort of very strong third person to come in in the middle of their battle, maybe Orochimaru or Itachi to lay down the law on either or both of them. That way either Sasuke will be saved by Orochimaru or whoever comes and continue his quest of evil to become stronger or naruto and sasuke put aside differences to fight together (leaving a reason for him to come back to konoha).

well if sasuke does go lvl 2, it will be one badd ass fight!

as i have said there has to be a 2v2 at the last fight because sum1 has 2 be holding the box thing sasuke is in its not like it can hop away with sasuke in it

You know, I've been thinking alot lately about the time jump theory.
You see, Chouji is out of action or dead, Rock Lee is out of action, and I think Neji is going to be out of action soon too. The village is in a moment of reconstruction, and Sasuke is about to become one with the dark side.
What I think will happen is that Sasuke will make it to Sound Nin village....Naruto and the others will have to fall back and recover from heavy battle wounds. Then a time jump will happen.
That's what I think will happen, because it is going to take so much time for the others to recover...

if they plan for the story to continue Sasuke will win this battle or there will be someway that Naruto will fail
theres no logical reason for Sasuke to stay in the leaf even if Naruto catches him, whats he going to do? just run away again and that'd be a pretty stupid storyline.
Naruto wont kill Sasuke either, no matter what.

Yeah a time jump would seem logical since there is absolutely no possible story line to follow after this pursuit. Maybe a year or two ahead into the future would sound good. Naruto and some of the others now Chuunins. Sound attacks Leaf again lead by Susake and Oro. Naruto and the newly improved Sakura (newly promoted Chuunin too!!) confronts Susake. Oro, Jiyira, and Tsuade have another kickass fight. Naruto and Sakura fight Susake. Oro, Jiyira, and Tsuade dies. Susake is narrowly defeated by Naruto and Sakura, and then Naruto gets captured by Itachi. Susake now sides with Leaf and a party consisting of Jounins and Chuunins confront Itachi and the organization. Then they have a huge fight. Both sides losing alot of guys. Itachi fights susake, and susake beats his brother with Chidori with lv 2 curse seal. Kakashi and many of the jounins dies( including GAI!!!) also the majority of the orgainzation has lost some guys. They find Naruto, but with no Kyubi spirit. Then the Kyubi attacks them all. Naruto awakens and confronts the Kyubi spirit, and performs the identical jutsu to seal him and kyubi spirit into something... and then the naruto manga is over....

I agree that there aren't many possibilities where the story would make sense if Sasuke went back to Konohana immediately...
But at the same time if they have Sasuke wander off for two long, then they either have to take the focus of the manga off of Naruto - or just ignore what happens to him for a long time ... it will be interesting to see what happens.

I don't think that Sasuke will actually run away. I believe that Naruto will beat Sasuke at level 2 seal. Then Sasuke will reflect back on what Kakashi said, "that while depending on the curse seal and Oro, he'll never be able to defeat Itachi. And that the only way he can is to train vigorously in Konoha." Then Sasuke will return with the others to Konoha.

dont want a huge jump because that'll change the context of the story, maybe a year or 6 months at least though
once Naruto is an adult i think it'll change the way we see the series and theres no reason for him to be for awhile now

as for what the topic title is sasuke wont hit lvl. 2 thats because naruto will open the barrel before the transformation is complete killing sasuke in the process

umm theres alot to do and no one whos not dead gets to rest
there is the akatsuki, who have unknown goals
oro has a rageing hard on for the leaf
last thing i heard from the cloud village is they tried to steal the hyuga blood line and failed now would be a good time take it again. since the leaf has problems

the sand realised that peace ment they no longer have jobs and there way of life goes down the toilet
there are so many arcs to the storyline right now kishimoto probaly dosnt know where to go next. and the series is relly popular in japan and the US meaning theres money in it so they are just going to draw out the series at this point
i hope it dosnt end up like tenchi

I don't think Sasuke will go with Oro... this would be a great time for Naruto to be taken by one of the lesser members of that orginization... whatever I'm tired from work and can't remember how to spell... anyway that'll pull everyone together and have a marry chace leading to those members dieing and Naruto revealing his power to Sasuke.
