Fighting Beauty Wulong
I haven't seen a series like this in a while. AirMaster was the last one of this genre I watched. I didn't even know I wanted one until I watched this eps.
Simple and good, people beating the crap out of each other tourney style.
Maybe I'll go dig Ikkitousen out and rewatch that too.

Fighting Beauty Wulong
How is Ikkitousen anyway the only reason I never whathed was becuase of the art.
About the episode it looks like I going to have to follow this one as well. Damn so many Anime, so little time

Fighting Beauty Wulong
Ikkitousen is good for some ecchi, some hot girls, and kickass action... Story could've been kinda interesting, but since it was short it got fucked up towards the end...
Ikkitousen is really a crappy version of Tenjou Tenge... still a good watch if you have time to waste, don't expect anything from it though...

Fighting Beauty Wulong
Weird I actually liked Ikkitousen more then I liked Tenjou Tenge, Ryofu>everyone in Ten Ten . Anyways I'm bout to watch ep 1.

Fighting Beauty Wulong
well... i must say, I didn't like the first 15 minutes of the show (although the intro was nice)... but I actually wanna know what is going to happen next. the prime mat fights seem better animated than the other ones so its good, and the intro was well animated too.

Fighting Beauty Wulong
The first thing I noticed is that the camera man sounds like he's voice acted by Ueda Yuji. Although I couldn't confirm it, because the sites aren't yet listing full info of this show.
I can't really say this type of show is quite down my alley, but if any sort of plot appears in the next episode, I think I'll keep watching this.

To promote the upcoming DVD release, they got actress Matsumoto Mami to play the role of Wu Long.

Although I don't really have anything else to complain about this series; the action is good, graphics and design decent if not optimal to my tastes and animation sufficient, but the one thing that bothers me is that the guys of the series are such weaklings. Of course it's a story about a fighting girl, but I'm not sure if it's necessary to emphasize that by making all the guys such weak characters. Instead, they could have made those random baddies and opponents a bit stronger. Well, maybe this is how shows like this are supposed to be.

Wulong continues her fights (possibly, haven't watched this ep yet):
Episode 3 - LIME
Edit: Actually no fights in this ep. But next ep should get us to the real business. Almost.
-
Just watched the first two episodes... but man this series is a piece of shit... At least it has some decent fights, I'll keep watching.
-
-
Doh. It looks like they keep pushing the real action further and further away. This episode looked like it would be filled with action, yet it didn't end up having practically any. There was a great promise for very good action, but plot dictated otherwise. And thus even if the preview says the next ep will be all action, I'm not sure if I dare to trust in previews anymore.
Well, time will tell.
-
It is getting rather aggravating that they seem to be just dangling good fights just in front of us, but never delivering. I ended up watching 3 eps of AirMaster just to make up for the difference.
When they finally get to the fights, they better be really good for the massive amount of buildup they keep pushing.
-
Indeed, the actual series is just horrible. The charcters are very bad and uniteresting for the most part. At least it has some fun scenes here and there, and the hope for some kickass street-like fights keeps me watching this.
-
If there's still no action, this might be the last episode I watch... Remains to be seen.
Episode 5 - LIME

I'll admit, I kept holding out, hoping this series would be another AirMaster, but it just can't match up to it in any way. 2 seconds of fighting broken up by twenty times that of worthless dialogue. I understand that wrestling is pretty big in Japan, and they take it very seriously in certain areas, but do we really need to hear about the importance of each aspect of it for over and over for minutes at a time, breaking up the action entirely?
Even the fighting isn't very good. It's a bunch of still shots with narration! AirMaster, Ikkitousen, Tenjou Tenge, and even Ranma 1/2 all showed full action. This series shows nothing.
I cannot see any reason to continue this series. The first 5 minutes of eps 1 were good, but the rest of the series apparently can't match up. Maybe in the last eps there will be a very impressive fight, maybe even the next one, but I can't keep watching this if they are going to break up the action. Fluid fights are all these series really have, and when they take that away, its just garbage.
