New pics of Destiny and Destroy

Just got my copy of Dengeki Hobby, and took some time to scan out pics of Destiny and Destroy Gundam. Destiny looks damn cool and looks set to overtake Freedom as the iconic Gundam of the Seed series. Destroy however, don't look that hot to me though.

I've also got pics of Gouf Ignited, Zaku Warrior, and Saviour Gundam. If you guys are interested I can post those up as well.

Who's going to be piloting the Destiny Gundam? Does it say anywhere?

It doesn't say in the book, but according to MAHQ it's going to be Shinn Asuka.

why wouldnt it be the main character piloting the main gundam?

In the earlier info of this new Gundam it already said that Shinn would be the new pilot.

Is Destiny going to be using shining fingers as a move? Looks that way in the pics.

If the destiny was the main suit of the series you'd think that it should get more air time in the intro. I think we all know who the main character of the series truly is and which mobile suit is gonna be the main suit even if not by name of the series. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]. Its odd how they are doing this. Shinns really getting a backseat ride. Hopefully once he gets destiny things will change.

I also felt that Destiny's hands looked very similar to God Gundam. As for Shining Finger or God Finger I don't really think Destiny Gundam is capable of that.

To whoever says that Shinn is not gonna get Destiny gundam: It's his bloody show. What's gonna happen with Freedom/Super Freedom... Kira's just gonna give 'em to Shinn and his crew?

Yeah.... hope it makes a come back. Even more sad is that Heine was such a interesting character, the way he talks to Athrun was really amusing.

I love Heine. He's like my favorite character after Yzak. Amazing how likeable a char that dies after 3 eps can be...

It wouldn't be an unprecidented attack in the SEED timeline. In the Gundam SEED Astray Manga the Red Frame uses a similar type attack.

Most of you probably know this, but for those that don't, most of the Gundam's weapons in SEED have minimal power supplies. Instead all the weapons connect to "hand plugs" in each unit. This makes it nearly impossible for a Gundam to use another's weapons (Dual was built as an exception, intended to be compatible with the others). The weapons get their power throught these Hand Plugs. One time in Astray, someone tried to steal the Red Frame from Lowe Gear, and skipping some of the story, accidently transferred too much power to the plug trying to use the Beam Saber. As sort of a desperation idea to prevent an overload Lowe discharged it directly into the enemy (getting excited about haveing a new attack at the same time). And before anyone asks, at that point both Lowe and the attempted thief (Someone who you may recognize from SEED if you read it) were in the cockpit at the same time.

lunamaria's zaku looks pretty hot... for a zaku. destiny doesn't look shitty when it has the wings spread... but i hate it.

Lunamari should get a transparent mobile suit so I can always check her out even when in action.

Destiny looks to much like Impulse. Its just too plain. Not like the Freedom. I don't hate it but its not much of a main gundam of the series.

Hmmmm. To me the first one looks like it has lavender butterfly wings while the second looks like a kitchen appliance.... Oh well, I guess all the Gundam designs can't be winners. Maybe they'll look cooler when they're actually introduced.
