I think this anime is..uhm..interesting. I heard a lot of great stuff about it but I never bothered to ask what it was about so I was surprised to find out it was a sports anime. Nonetheless, I find it enjoyable.

well, I've watched episode 1 now, and i have 2 bad things to say about the anime.
1. The OP, really ain't conveying the feeling of the story, it needs much more 'beat'.
2. Hiruma's voice, again, horrible. lower it an octobe or two and then we would have been talking serious...


other than those two, the anime followes the manga quite well, and I'm expecting it to be a good ongoing series...

Saizen just released episode 7 a few hours ago, you can find them on a.scarywater.net. As for 8 and 9... I don't think theres another group subbing this, at least not as far along as Saizen, so you just have to wait for them.

Yeah I'm still watching it... Hiruma it's a cool character, but I can't really say that i'm really enjoying this... It's one of the sports anime that I have least liked, at least thus far...

yeah i'm getting the feeling not many people like this anime, i'm open for almost any sports anime nowadays, Hajime no Ippo is undoubtly number one followed by Eyeshield 21 and Slam Dunk, Prince of Tennis has to be the worst but still i enjoyed that, anyway yeah the next match should be a good one, at first that new receiver guy they got was a little akward to me but because his voice actor is the same as One Piece's Usopp he quickly grew on me i think the show has potential

Touch (Just watched it last week)
Major (can go up since it's still ongoing, maybe down if it stalls on the drama side)

Eyeshield 21
Dear Boys
Prince of Tennis (it's pretty lame, but still fun to watch from time to time)
Buzzer Beater (I havent finished it, but it was pretty lame)


Ring ni Kakero 1 (pretty shitty if you ask me, still watching it though)
Dan Doh!! (watched one episode, never touched it again)

Captain Tsubasa (I haven't watch it, I hope some group releases this... it looks pretty good to me)

If Hikaru no Go, Initial D, and Kaleido Star count, then they would be somewhere near the top...

As you can see, I tend to lean on series that have good plot, drama, realism, over series that is supernatural... but I enjoy them all so it's all good...

Hajime No Ippo (my fav anime of all the anime i have watched!)
Major - Great story,drama,nice games
Intial D- great races,great music,good characters
Slam Dunk- funny,great basketball games,funny main character,i see him as Takamura in high school,thats why i like him so much.
Eyeshield21- of the eps i have watched its been okay,it would become better, i read the manga i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif
Prince of tennis - lame,story some good characters like Momoshiro and Kaidoh ok games too much fantasy for my taste.

Bad:

Buzzer Beater- made by one of my fav mangakas but the games suck compared to his other work Slam Dunk and there isnt much story.

My fav sport is Soccer,i'm african which african doesnt like Soccer i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif buy strangely i havent watched a Soccer anime. I will start watching Wild Striker,Whistle.

I havent watched ES21 in a while i have been saving eps so i will be in a couple of days and write about the eps i have watched.

Anyone know where I can find Hajime No Ippo? Agreed with Hakeem with Prince of Tennis. Too much fantasy. Still fun to watch as I play tennis but some of the shots in that is way too worked. Twist shot doesn't go for the face at all.... Its called a kick serve and it just goes diagnal like hell after it hits. Time to go check bakaupdates...

As for where you can find Hajime no Ippo, try boxtorrents, they've got 2 versions up. One is the entire series + extras, and the other is only about halfway though the series.

As for where I'd rank Eyeshield 21, it's probably near the top, definately higher than PoT, but lower than Hajime no Ippo... Though if, as Budweineken suggested, you count Hikaru no Go as a sports anime, that's probably my favorite... I liked it even more than Hajime no Ippo.

Thats why i rank it nr 2 its very realistic both the games and the story about Goro's famliy.

I just recently finished watching this series. I found up through episode 126 on Instantz, and then 126-145 on AniVide.

I liked the series, even though the last game against Ojou took like 15 episodes... I felt that it left a lot at the end of the series though that made me wonder... Does anyone know if the manga ends at the same point as the anime, or does the manga actually cover the rest of the tournament?
