I just got Vol 26 from my manga store, and realised it was Naruto's 5th anniversary. How time flies eh? Still remember when I bought vol 1, when Naruto was still unknown to the millions of lovers today. Anyway, here are some of the art drawn by various artists as a gift to Kishimoto. I thought they were quite interesting, so I scanned a couple to be posted here. Enjoy!

Nice pictures. Are you proficient in japanese or do you just buy the books for the collection?
(I don't assume they are translated because vol 26 came out so recently)

My jap is quite poor but I can read all the hiragana and katakana, though my kanji is pretty much limited. I buy the translated mandarin version of the manga, which comes out relatively fast. i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif

can you translate the names of the people who drew those pictures?
I assume that #2 is oda nobushiro (one piece) and #3 reminds me of takhito inoue works (slam dunk, buzzer beater, vegabond)...
i have no ideas for the other two, though

I love the first one, but guns can't exsist in the Naruto world because it would sort of... you know... screw things up.
3rd one looks like 1980's Naruto.

You mean like when Kabuto uses a computer, and the Hokage has a television?

I'm sure that any decent ninja could dodge a firearm anyway.

Inu-X, you must be crazy...
if a decent ninja can dodge a firearm, it means he can also dodge a kunai or a shurikan without any problems, right?
and yet, they use kunais every single possibility (even though they can't kill anyone), don't they?
the 1st drawing reminds me a bit of Now and Then, Here and There but i'm not 100% sure, and as for the 4th one, still no idea...
are there more pictures you can scan from that volume?

Most ninja's dodge shurikens and kunais, unless they are held down.
