Audio thingy..

Can anyone recommend me a program were i can extract the audio from a video file.
i also want it so i can extract only SOME part of the video.

help will be appreciated, thanks.

Jing, get Virtual Dub. Virtual Dub (http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/)

Load up the episode
Mark the beginning and end of the song with the 2 buttons
Go to audio > full compression mode.
Then audio > compression > mp3 > 128kbps
File > save wave file

Save it as whatever you want and there ya go. You should thank Moofs at RevQuest, he made that small tutorial at the RevQuest forums (in the Viewtiful Joe section) on how to extract and make mp3's and provided the link to Virtual Dub.

I tried out virtual dub, and it was ok, but the audio I really wanted was part of an ASF file, and virtual dub says that they their recent versions do not support that file format. Can anyone help me out?

Edit: The error I got said that it was an ASF file (no idea what that means) but the file type is .wmv
