This show is gonna air 2 feb in japan and is based on a manga from Inoue Takehiko who wrote Vagabond,Slam dunk etc.

And because of that i read in anime-keep forum that they will mostly like sub this anime so look forward if you like Takehiko works or sport animes.

does Kaede Purple count as one of them (slam dunk + Kaede Purple +new thing =3) or is Kaede Purple a stand alone thing, and there's another basketball manga?
it's just that Kaede Purple is kinda shitty, so i was hoping there's something else as well

Buzzer Beater came out in manga form around 5 to 6 years ago. It's more of a fantasy action manga than a sports based one. I can't really recall as it was a long time ago since I read the manga.

just in case any of you want to know what the story is about, it is about... like psyke says... a fantasized basketball... if ur not very good with the fantasized word, u can think of it as basketball+dragonball

the manga books are small and they are kinda like children books (4 vol. total) so this will definitely be a short series.... unless they prolong it

I have choosed saizen since they had more seeders and i was lucky cause the qaulity isnt bad.

I like this anime so far and their movements in ep 2 when they played 1 on 1 was great. It look so real. Looking forward to seeing a real basketball game,the basketball games i have seen so far even if they were short has been good.

The charachter design makes me things of the manga Vagabond everytime i watch this anime cause Vagabond is the only work of Inoue that i have read or seen so far.

the basketball sucks in it, they make such a big deal over some of the things when they aint even that good. Also whats up with the chicks free-throw it's pathetic, no-one shoots that way in basketball. seems aimed at kids though.

First 3 eps were a little slow, but at least it sets the pace for the upcoming eps and introduces us the world the anime creates. Kinda reminded me of the old Space Jam movie,which sucked though.

Yeah he thought too much of shooting contest with a girl.

About Che-che shooting like that i have seen woman players with shooting style worse than that.

Next ep looked like it was a game and the moves that guy made wasnt bad at all.

if you are looking for something fast paced, watching sports anime is not the way to go...

i can't think of any sports series that wasn't slow...

even Hajime no Ippo was slow... and it's easily the greatest sport series out there...

Yeah but this show will be most likely a 12 ep show so its extra slow.

The only sport anime that is really slow is POT, i mean 152 eps and not much has happened.

Just watched ep 4. Getting more interesting but the characters dun seem to be as well drawn as Slam Dunk though.

No kidding not Inoue's best work exactly.

But he did this for fun,did only realese the manga through his site,what should we expect by that.

What i did like about this anime was how good the matches looked,their movement was really basketball moves.

Well from what I've heard it's a sequel, I haven't watched it yet... so let me know. There isn't more manga content, it was all animated in the last series so this would be an anime original sequel.
