does anyone know how to take songs off a cd onto your computer?

like I want specific tracks off this cd to be permanently on my computer, and play it without having to use the cd.

You've never ripped a CD before? I guess the best program for this is CDex. You can get it from sourceforge at http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/
