I dont mean to bitch or seem like a dick, but are there any specific problems that are resulting in the forums being frequently out of operation? Is it maintenance, updating the base code? trying out new features? or even ISP issues? just curious, been wondering for a long while.

I'd assume the only explanation is "sometimes the server goes down, be patient". N.B. I don't actually know myself.

Hmm. that sucks. i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif

I was waiting for the server to be up because I wanted to rant how good Naruto 107 is.

Now the impression in my heart is gone, I feel like a lover who's love one just left on the train without the being able to wish her one last goodbye. i/expressions/brokenheart.gif

HEHEH. NOW THAT IT"S BACK!! HURRAH!

Thanks to whoever those guys who fixed the forum. i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif CHEeRS i/expressions/beer.gif

Cold Fusion engine is breaking.

//Ciber is too lazy to check the error logs to figure out why.

does anyone else see the humor in that a forum with the word w00t in it has been frequently down? its
anti-leet irony.

It's always a surprise whether the forum will be working or not these days. This is the first time in a while that the forum has been working during the day for me. Any other time it's been up the past week or so has been in the middle of the night, when I'm too sleepy to bother reading posts.

forums.gotwoot.net a.k.a. 69-56-158-158.theplanet.com [69.56.158.158] has been running Apache on Linux since at least the 5th of March and they really seam to have problems with JRun/Coldfusion.

It's a hosted site so the GW crew probably has zero ability to do something about it.
However, http://plone.org/downloads/ is really nice, it's hard to find a compareable solution.
http://zope.org/Products/ZopeX3 is rock solid and the old version (http://zope.org/Products/Zope/2.7.3) with http://squishdot.org/ is a trivial forum solution to run and admin if you don't want a full CMS-capable system like Plone.

If you need free Zope hosting maybe http://www.freezope.org/ or http://www.oinko.net/freepython/ will do, but http://zettai.net/ might be a good alternative if you pay for the service.
