it could be another week or a month. Time will tell. it might actually be dead finally after all the crap they get from ADV and other companies about haveing their licensed anime on Mirkx. Just wait it out. Worst case scenario you have to go to the IRC channels of all your fav fan sub gorups to be up to date.

:? I seriously hope that it's not gonna be the case, this is worrying me, Mirkx is the only proper site, where I can get everything I need, with it gone will make it difficult to get stuff...especially when I don't know how to use IRC

It's made some prograss, it used to be stuck on the 13th for me, now it's stuck on the 14th with two updates.

Doesn't look like a server crapout.. Question is, will this be permanent? I'd hate to see what we currently know have to fold due to some unamed entity pulling strings.. Even if this was the case, I'm sure there'd eventually be a new name.

Above poster beat me to it. I heard that Mirkx was cancelled when it went down due to the guy really not living on the Comoro Islands. At first i didn't believe it to be true but now with the evidence given above it looks like its been confirmed.

Id give it a month for the site to be back up and running even if it's under an new name.

Edit: I've just relized a very bad problem. If Mirkx was the site for raws and fan subs where are the fan sub groups getting their raws now?

since they seem to still be subbing i guess they got direct contact with the raw distrubutor or something. and you can always check animesuki for all the non-licensed anime.

yeah but Animesuki is a little behind on releases at times. But thankfully it's the begginging of the new anime season so nothing is licsened yet.

This is like the third time in a six month period it's been down like this and every time they come back and then go down again. you get use to this kinda crap. Use AnimeSuki to find the web pages of your fav fan subs and just check every other day to see if a new anime ep is out.

i usually go with www.baka-updates.com since downloadanime i think is not posting some of the licensed anime... plus baka-updates includes releases from dvd-ripping groups

It's not a diffrent site it's the reincarnation of Mirkx. we'll have this one for a while then they'll change again. We'll need to keep up on this shit on a regular basis.

If you want to open up the website go to the directory thats listed there and open the HOST file with a program like notebook or wordpad and then add those two lines. THat will allow you to view mirkx's page again.

apparently, adding those two lines did not do anything yet. it still says october 13. i'll let you guys know if it works.

and it's still not working. but it actually might be working and new torrents just haven't been uploaded. however, it still says oct 13.
