Is this the anime about some vampyre girl?

Yep, though I think that the lead male is a bit more unique in his design. When I first saw screenshots (with her ears) and the title, I believed fully that this would be a werewolf anime. All information about it said vampire though and that's what it looks like after the first episode.

yeah that's the one... i thought it was crap before it came out... but after watching the first episode it seems somewhat good... maybe very good for a first episode

i watched episodes 2 and three from another group that i forgot the names of... but the series still looks good... but i dont recommend them... apparently they mistranslate some important aspects of the series and will confuse you alot with the mistranslation... so wait for mahou to release

oh and i didnt know that Dimitri from Paris had something to do with the opening of this series.. it is awesome

episode 2 is out

yeah, I tried running the files from Studio ADTRW, but all of them seem to be buggy in at least one way. I'm not even commenting on the subs here. I actually like that they're using soft subs. Makes it easier for me to read them. The first one seemed to run at a 120 fps on my Xbox, the second one didn't run at all and the third one, seemed ok at first, but I think the audio was out of synch. Guess I'll stick to the Mahou releases from now on.

I still with more groups would use soft subs though. I know that there are disadvantages with using them, but then again, I don't have to sit so close to the TV or monitor to actually read the subs. So far the only subbed release that had good readable subs was FMA. Tenjou Tenge and Samurai 7 weren't bad either.

ps. Yes, I run everything from my Xbox. I never have any problems with it except in this case.

Yeah their releases seemed buggy... i only like soft subs on dvd rip releases... in fansubs they just look crappy...

But i really recommend you to watch mahou releases.. at least episode 3 when it comes out... ADTRW apparently did a big mistake in the translation... it was just a line, but that line is very important to the plot so i think it will be wise to see the other sub just incase and see how they translate that episode

Yeah, just got the Mahou episodes. Show looks cool. First a cool gothic intro and then that super happy opening theme i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif. A weird mix, very original i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif.

I was ready to delete this after seeing the intro, but I'll keep it for another few episodes. The story is just starting, so it's hard to judge. Actually, the thing I like best about it is the animation style. It's almost exactly the same as Full Metal Alchemist.... I miss FMA.....

Edit to below: LOL.......... umm..... you ARE kidding...right?

common... the intro is awesome... i have the full song in loop at the moment..

"Neko Mimi Mode"!!

Edit to on top: No im not kidding... i promise you that if you hear it more than 2 times you are gonna love it... plus the beat of Dimtri from Paris who makes some great launge music it is pretty good...

Anyone still following this? Through 9 is released now, and although I'm not too impressed by the story the animation is really very nice, especially the last 2 eps. Very creative settings and angles. I feel like some very good people are wasting their talent here.

I follow it, though I'm enjoying the manga alot more (translated by Akatsuki Manga)

I'm still watching it. After the freakout arc where the colors are all messed up all the time from the light bending guy (who took way too long to fight, but its kinda a neat effect, in a way showing how powerful he was) this series got really good. One of the more satsifying things I stuck with.

This is a great anime. I started watching it when ep 10 came out. Neko Mini Mode is pretty infectious.

I just hope I don't sing it in public.

As far as eps 21, 22
Its interesting, although not unexpected, that Kouhei isn't who we thought he was.

I wish that they'd finish subbing this already, but I guess there is no use in rushing them.

Finally watched the last couple of episodes...

I really liked this series, something new and fresh...

The ending was good also, but I still get the feeling that there's more to be told, especially since I doubt the Master would give up on Luna yet...

Hopefully an OVA or another series comes up with an arc where they face off with the Master

This reminds me of the upcoming anime Karin - also about a family of vampires. If you read the manga, you would know about it.

Na' I haven't read it... it seems that it's mainly a comedy, any action in there?

From the first few chapter, I haven't seen any action scenes yet; it is more like a comdey, romance, and school life vampire sires.

Reviving this thread...

uhm... anyone know if this show was popular enough to warrant an OVA or second season? cuz I mean, its obvious that they didn't have much money for this (and eps were beign aired around 2 in the morning no?)... anyways they had a LOT of talent working with limited means so an OVA would be... neat!

Munsu
Thu, 11-03-2005, 01:55 AM
I don't know if it was popular enough, but I would love another OVA or a second season... I'm pretty sure there's an untold story, mainly dealing with her Dad/Master...

In other news, not that it matters much, this got recently licensed:

Mahou released three days ago episode 26, a bonus episode. It's an IRC only release from what I can see.

Unbelievable! Thanks a lot for the heads-up, Bud! I never really expected to see more Moon Phase ever, even though this is one of the finished series I most vehemently wanted to continue in any manner, ova or otherwise. Even a DVD extra is nice.

The story wasn't concluded for good, and that's most probably true even after this episode, but even a little is good, if it has the quality and spirit I liked so much about Moon Phase in the first place.

It certainly was one weird episode... Very strange indeed. Still, as a dvd extra it was excellent. Those aren't always the best, but this was fine. Even if it was an odd one. Outlandish to say the least.
