A few of the mods were thinking of an appropriate way of discussing new episodes in a more organized fashion, and here's the idea some of us came up with......

1) shoftly before a new episode is released, a mod will create 2 threads: the "EPISODE XXX RELEASE INFO" thread and the "EPISODE XXX DISCUSSION" thread
2) We will also set a temp sticky of 7 days (unfortunately, stickies dont work yet, but hopefully that will be fixed)
3) We will explicitly say for the release thread to not discuss anything but release info and links. This way, people can enter the release thread without fear of being spoiled.

we figured, since you guys tend to find the releases sooner than the mods do, then you can still post the info right away in the release topic instead of having to find a mod. There will only be one thread for anything pertaining to the episode's release info as well as one thread for discussing the episode, and both will be stuck at the top for a week, so we shouldnt have to see "AH's release out", "ANBU's release out"...etc.

As of right now, the title for the release thread will simply be the generic "EPISODE XXX RELEASE INFO" title.
We considered the option of changing the title to "EPISODE XXX RELEASED BY GROUPS Y AND Z" whenever somebody discovers that groups y and z made the release, however once again, since you guys find the releases sooner than the mods do, then keeping the generic title should be less likely to confuse people when an update is made before the title is changed. But we might change this depending on how things go.

We will create the 2 threads once the raw is released, so wait until then before starting discussions and submitting release info. As always though, information referring to the raw should still be kept in the open discussion forum.

the raw? if ur creating threads for discussion and the subbed release then whats the point of making it when a raw is out? its not like many ppl will want to dl the raw or can discuss it.

i would just suggest changing it to when the first sub is released, like it is rite now. other then that i think this is a pretty good way to keep things in order. good job, u guys are finally making urself useful i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif.

Well, because if the 2 threads are created BEFORE the subbed release, then you guys can start populating those threads when the release does come out, instead of having to wait for a mod to open it.

Although I guess it would be fine to just have the release thread available prior to the sub and then do the usual for the discussion threads

Sounds like a plan. Hopefully this will reduce the amount of useless release threads.

ya i think that would probably be best. cuz u know theres gonna be some retard who's gonna start posting in the discussion thread, and some other retard *cough* me *cough* whos gonna go in and get spoiled.

there is no raw discussion in the Naruto Anime Forum.

and everyone should really read this thread so you won't look like an idiot in the future.

I would stick this to the top too...cause you know that once this gets off the first page...there will still be the few idiots that start a "discussion" thread of some sort.....judging by the fact that it happens a lot....

Other than that....this is an awesome idea....ever since GotWoot went down (or some other reason) It's been hard for me to find the subbed version for dl.....now i'll be able to get the link(s)....Thanks....

Currently we do not know if this will work yet.

I agree with the idea of A Release Thread then Dicusson thread. will the Release thread be out as soon as the first Subbing groups that get the eps out? Some people may still use this forms but might not get AonE's Release of naruto

He said the release thread will be out prior to any of the finished sub eps, so I'm guessing Wednesday evenings it will open.

Good idea to bring some organization to things.

thank you....this is great....this is like what i meant in the sacked thread.

BRILLIANT!!!
and also with the release thread is the title going to be edited like weekly or just a new thread created.
meaning Episode 104 release. then when 105 comes out a new thread edisode 105 release.
or are you going to keep editing the Episode 104 release thread to the new eps weekly..?

key phrase is "before a new episode is release"

yes, most likely on wednesdays
and we prolly wont just rename the same topic every week, cause then you'll end up with pages of old release info
