Ok, there are two routes in which you can play ogm files. One is with a regular player and some codecs. Another is to use VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) Player. If you don't want to use VLC Player, then I'll show you the other way. You are going to need three codecs to play ogm files. You will need Vobsub (http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/11/2/2/11-2-2-99.shtml), OggDs (http://tobias.everwicked.com/oggds.htm), and make sure you have Xvid (http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid.html). If you download and install those, they should play on regular players such as WMP and RealPlayer. Hope I could help.

P.S: Ogm files allow you the option to play your video in different languages and subtitles. If you use WMP9, a little green arrow will appear on the right bottom corner of your screen. If you right click that, you should be able to choose which one you want. If you use VLC PLayer, just right click the screen of the video and there should be different options.

YOU ROCK!!!! Thank you very much. I have been brewing over this problem of mine for quite some time now. You saved me. I downloaded the VLC Player and it works great. Before, I had tried installing just codecs but all I could get was sound out of my regular player, no picture or subtitles. But this works!

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

sure can, with caveats: some of the stuff bound to mpc is older and not so great, and some of the other filters (ie: directvobsub and various splitters and stream switchers) aren't recognized by mpc. Your mileage may vary.

But yeah, let the dead threads be dead. Yikes.

Zoom Player, BSPlayer, Windows Media Classic and so many others its not funny. Next time when you guys have a prob just simply "google" it no matter what it is like this................

player, ogm
and see what happens. Yes Windows Media player also I dunno why you had such a problem really?

I would love to see the google results too there must be so many. I google everything, just add a comma between 2 words and it works miracles.

Yeah, I think they know that. Look at the dates of threads before you posts.
