for a series as popular as initial d, im surprised not more groups have chosen to fansub it, is animeone in the process of fansubbing 5 and 6? i know live-evil most likely wont have theirs out in a long while, its a good thing i can read chinese and watch the chinese fansubs ;p

Excellence, and yet damnit. I'm trying to catch up on the mangas, I just got to the Emperor's arc...

The show is still nice, after reading it, despite that Tokyo Pop bastardized names and such, but as I know most of the names from the show, it's not so bad. It's like what I do with Naruto, subbing in the names of the attacks from the show in the manga.

a lil update, nanashi has begun to translate ID ep5, they usually do FMA pretty fast, so i would expect them to come out with ep5 soon.

i am sure its not me but the .mkv is just raw from the looks of it no english subs as stated and it srewed up to not able to fast forward

no, its not raw, it IS SUBBED, it is really really excellent quality as well. there will prolly be codec problems if u dont have the right ones, but i used vlc player and had to select the subtitle track manually

EDIT: i also had a problem with the subs running off the screen with vlc player, but i could fast forward
when i played it in Windows media player, i couldnt fast forward but the subs were just fine!

Well, I've actually found the BT links to ep. 5 & 6 which have been fansubbed by some other groups which I have not heared about....

I think one of the files is of .mkv format, I have not downloaded them yet so i don't know what is the quality like.

The MKV one is actually more of a port of the manga translation to the anime episode (unless it was updated recently). I was reading the scan along with the mkv episode and it's almost the same in terms of the script used in both (the manga translation was done prior to the subbing of course) also the MKV one misses sections where dialogue keeps going but the subs cut out. Still it's not bad since it helps out those that just want anything so that they can understand the basics of whats going on. The quality isn't bad but it's buggy depending on where you play it, some people report that VLC overlaps the subs and some claim that in the core media player it crashes or wont allow people to use the time slider. For me I just had the time slider thing come up but that's it.

Mkay, just got done watching both in mkv. Don't wait on them, get the mkv's and a core player, it is not worth waiting for. This race was nice. My core time slider didn't work, but all I had to do was make it through the intro song, so myeah.
