Free Stuff Online?

I've been wondering, recently, I've been getting lots of those 'Congrats, your the xxxxxx visitor and you've won something' Ad's. And I've tried clicking on some of those and always the requirements is I have to be a US Citizen.

Just wondering? Does some of those really works? Or is there some sort of scheme or clause to it? Like I have to buy something every few months or they'll take away my prize?

Because so far I've won a AlienWare PC, I've won an apartment, free stay at hotels in Vegas and also a Car before. And always, those small coupon's for books and other small rubbish, like USD 100. And stuff. But never been able to claim any, because I'm not American i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif

There's no such thing as free stuff online. There's always a catch, if I were you I wouldn't even try to claim them. They'd probably end up charging you for it in the end.

So far the only free things I have been able to get are free magazine subscriptions to Stuff, Maxim, FHM, Gamepro, EGM, and XBN. Other then that I got a free mach3 razor but nothing big like a cpu or apartment.

only free offer i got that was legit was Gamepro. I suppose most or all magazine offers are valid but don't trust those "Get a free PS2" or "You've won a Plasma TV...just enter email to claim" Those ads and emails only lead to endless spam emails from all over.

well, none of that pop-up ad crap never works, its all a scam to get your information. however, some websites sometimes have like a raffle type thing and i've heard of people winning some cool stuff like a radeon 9800 once but of course its from a real company and a legit website not from some stupid pop-up @_@;
