Well, for simplicity, I would get the Official Client (http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/download.html). It is the easiest to use for beginners. For more options and settings, you might want to try Azureus (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/) or Bittornado (http://bittornado.com/download.html). Hope I could help.

The official BitTorrent also has a set of command line flags that aren't immediately obvious. You can find them on google.

This may be silly

I told my friend that you can donwload movie and mp3 song at suprnova.org. I also told him that he need to download first a Bit Torrent program. The next day he talked to me and told me that he do not want to use a Bit Torrent program because it contain virus and spyware. I told him it does not.

Do Torrent program contain virus and spyware.

Bittorrent does not contain any spyware, adware, or viruses. Make sure he is using a well known client such as the Official Client (http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/download.html) or Azureus (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/). The only way that could happen is if some hacked your client through the Bittorrent port range. Hope I could help.

i use the BT plugin for the latest version of E-Donkey. works nicely, the speed limitations you put in edonkey can be applied for bittorrent.
everyone who uses the donkey a lot probably uses this too.
