how do you use this prog..i heard this is faster than bt...soooo i was wondering if any could help

last time i used dc++ was like years ago. but if i remember correctly... all you have to do is connect to a hub or whatever (it most likely has a sharing size requirement and you can't get in unless you meet it. the good ones are bigger like 20 gigs+) and then search, then dl. UNLESS it has changed since the last time i used it... =O

DC++ still needs a reliable hub to distribute content, and the downloads come from a direct connection to a computer (hence the DC part).

BitTorrent is better for distributed downloading/distributed distribution. While there still a tracker, you depend on many seeders (and leechers) to obtain your data.

As for speed, your results may vary (heavily dependent on the connection of the computer will the file you want).
