You know, the turtle in Episode 22, the one that stops Lee from using Secondary Lotus on Sasuke? Is that Gai's summon? Like Kakashi's dogs or Jiriya's frogs? I mean, Whisky Tango Foxtrot mate?

we discussed this not too long ago......i said before that it could be 1 of 2 reasons

1) irony....or perhaps a method of making a contrast, between gai and his insane speed and the speed of a turtle
2) symbolism.....in the tortoise vs the hare...the obviously more talented hare was beaten by the determined tortoise....just like how lee vs neji and gai vs kakashi follow the hardworking vs genius scenario
