Spider-Man 2 is the best movie this summer. I liked it a lot. The story was great. But it was stupid that he
took of his mask.
I think in the next movie will see Green Goblin 2 and maybe Venom. To bad it isn't coming before 2007
What do you think?

lol, but him taking off his mask and putting it back on was good, in the first movie you couldnt really see him do any of that b/c he walked away, and I hope its venom, greengoblin 2 gives you sort of that same thing as the first movie feel
and Ive should of know it was going to be the guy with the spiderman avatar and sig that would start this topic
Troy was good too, one of my favorites

lol if you know anything about spiderman you knew that was what was going to happen. hobgoblin was going to have to come eventually, venom is far off in the movies atm.
EDIT btw hobgoblin kicks ass.

I liked the first movie a lot, watched it twice, but honestly I found this one boring. The action parts were OK, except the stopping the train part which was lame, and the animation of the mechanical arms was cool.
Still, the plot just didn't work for me. It was too choppy, with one scene of Peter's birthday, one scene of him late for class, one scene of him washing laundry...... And what was up with the crappy musical interlude? The film just didn't hold together well, and I ended up checking my watch, which is not the mark of a good movie. And the ending was too drawn out. By the time the film was actually over I was jumping out of my seat.
I'd reccomend that if you want to see it go to the theatre so you can enjoy the special effects because there's not much else to enjoy.

lol, I think we all agree with your there Mut@t@. Im crossing my fingers to see Venom (or Carnage I guess) in Spidey 3. But its probably gonna be Harry as the Goblin again from what we saw in this one. I really liked this movie though.

Yay... On some comic/movie site i read... Dwane "the rock" johnson is trying to star as venom in spiderman. that is only a rumor ofcorse. but It would be hot if venom did come in spidy3. be like "Time to woop some candy spider ass". ahahahaha...
See the thing i didn't like about movie 1 is that in the comic/tv show... Hobgoblin was the first goblin. then green goblin came after. but they didn't follow the script eitirely!
AH well... does anyone notice that kristin dunst and toby mcguire have no chemestry at all? they feel like they were forced to play those mj, peter parker parts...

no green goblin came first and then hobgoblin, and i think venom doesnt come for a while, first spidey had to start mutating and shit, then he gets new suit, then venom comes...i think i dont have a good memory. and yeah i also felt the movie was drawn out, i still dont like the cast which for me makes it so i cant enjoy the movie as much as other people who dont read the comics or watched the show.

I thought that Harry was the Green Goblin 2. I like Tobey as Peter Parker. He suits it.

It won't be the Hobgoblin. Ned Leeds hasn't been introduced yet as a character, and it's a fact that Harry does become the 2nd Green Goblin after his father dies, so there won't be two goblins in one movie, that'd be stupid.
Venom might still be in it though, or at least some other villian. It's possible for there to be two villians, a la Batman Returns. Obviously Harry as the Green Goblin will be one, and I'm hoping for a second, Venom would be awesome but I'm not holding my breath for it to happen.

Actually, if any of you have read the comic, the Hobgoblin is a totally different person (as you stated yourself above). Harry infact does become the second Green Goblin in the comic. Also, in the second movie, they never introduced Eddie Brock (a photographer at the Daily Bugle who was rivaled with Peter Parker) who is the actual Venom in the comic. You see, Spiderman went to space for some Galactic War thing that was happening. During his time in space, the "Venom" parasite attached itslef to Spiderman, thus creating a "Venom Spiderman." When Spiderman came back to Earth, he noticed that his suit was starting to actually become a part of him. So somehow (I forgot, haven't read the comic in a while) he got rid of the parasite which eventually infected Eddie Brock thus creating Venom. That is what really happened.
However, according to my speculation, they are going to make JJ's (Joanah Jamenson) son (you know the astronaut guy) become Venom. I belive that he is going to go up to space for a mission and then get infected by the parasite while he is in space. So once he realizes that he has superpowers, he is going to get revenge at Peter Parker because he "stole" his wife (and eventually find out that he is Spiderman). Just as a side note, in the comic, JJ's son became some kind of WolfMan (I have no idea why).
Well, you can see how the comic differs from the movie. However, that's how the movie buisness is. They have to make a few changes to make it into an actual movie. Hope that cleared that up.
P.S: The movie is not going to be released untill 2007, which gives them plenty of time for the 3d animation of Venom *hint hint.*

i thought the astronaut guy in the 2nd movie was supposed to become some villian himself later on (at least thats what ive overheard)
anyone find it odd how in the monorail scene when spiderman had his mask off and was putting it back on, you can see him put the mask over the body section of his suit, but then right afterwards the opening seam kinda fuses to the body part? It looks cooler to have the mask and body suit be all one piece......but i wonder how they actually put the actor guy inside a full body/head suit without there being any crease showing

i think tobey was on conan or leno a while ago and he talked about how they made the spidey suit fit his body absoutely PERFECT. i don't know if that explains anything from your question but i think i thought i'd just throw it in there.

Well, there's a couple of ways that could have gotten done. One, the person that makes the suit gets paid massive amounts of money to make the suit look the way it does (seamless in this case). If that's impossible, the could have just CGed out the seams after they shot the scene.
The first spiderman was an awesome movie. I didn't think the second one could possibly be better, but I was in for a gigantic surprise. It kicked the ass of the first one. It's already one of my all time favorite movies.

Next Spiderman. My Choice of badguys
CARNAGE. He's one bad mofo. Unfortunately, we wouldn't have him unless we have Venom. In which we wouldn't have Venom unless we have Fantastic Four, and we wouldn't have his symbiote suit without Secret Wars. i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif
Best movie for me this Summer was Shrek 2. i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif

carnage is just sick to the mind.... he needs personal help... To me personally... He woulda been the most evil marvel badguy in its world(other than x-men's juggarnaut).

Nah, in the comics Norman Osbourne is the ultimate evil. He turns Peter's life inside out before Peter even realises. Carnage is psychotic, true, but he's no Norman Osbourne.

That's a good theory, but I think all the fans would go on killing sprees if the producers gave a villian a different identity. I'm pretty sure that if Venom is in the movie, then he'll be Eddie Brock. But nice idea though.
And yeah, in the comics John Jameson goes into space and somehow gets exposed to Lunar rays or some crap, making him transform into Wolf-Man or Man-Wolf (can't remember) whenever the moon is full, i.e. your traditional werewolf.

Seriously. I mean, doc oc is just a regular guy with crazy arms. He's not even a tough guy. Spiderman on the other other hand has stuper strenght and other body enhancements. I can see spidey surviving doc ocs arms, but not doc oc surviving spidey's punches. His neck should've been relieved of it's head first time he got rocked in the face by spiderman's fist.

yeah, the idea behind the arms with AI was pretty cool though......i can see doing that to an extent in reality, since you cant expect your brain to immediately gain control of 4 extra limbs than what it was used to controlling....and being able to perform involuntary reflexes would require some amount of AI for the arms......but......thats mostly basic stuff.......there's no reason why the arms should have a high enough level of AI to come up with ideas like robbing banks

I watch Sidey one and two and they kinda portay the villain in the two movie are not really a bad person; they just become bad people because of society and they just need to earn some respect. Those human vs himself theme.
I find the part where Spiderman have to stop the train do not have suspense. You just fell that they are gonna be okay because Spiderman is here to save the day. I watch some movie before. You know the people are gonna be okay but the suspense are still there.
I just thought that they spend to much building Peter Parker character or story life.
The movie is okay.

Yeah, always making it hard on us poor souls who would like nothing more than to hate the badguy. I've gotta disagree with you on Parker's character development. It was great! In fact, 90% of the movies comedy came from his development. Everytime an action scene began, I was barely done laughing from the major rapage parker had went through in previous scenes.
