I decided to start downloading this series last week.... right now I'm on episode 13 and I'm hooked... I love this series...

Anyone here is watching this series?

It is almost unbelievable that the series is 365+ episodes long and ongoing...

i like it i'll have to try and track some of it down when they start doing reruns

thats like 30 + years if one airs once a week everyweek....frankly i'm kinda upset that it is as long as it already is ... that means its gonna be quite a while before we get any plot back in the show (not that i expected much in the first place) but it would be nice to know

I havent watched the adult swim... but what episode 49 was AS showing because from what ive heard the AS 49 is not the same jap 49... or maybe i am talking crap

had a different title ... was called no immunity for the diplomat instead of the dimplomat murder case or something like that ...but as far as i can tell the rest is the same

Oh ok... I just meant tha AS made a conan episode spread through two air dates (converting it into 2 episodes) or that AS cut an episode... but since i dont watch AS, Im not sure what actually happened...

Like Cased Closed 49, might be Detective Conan episode 48 or so...

But if 49 is the second part of the title you mentioned then it makes sense...

Do you watch Detective Conan? or do you watch AS and are starting to dl Detective Conan?

I know there's a group that does the HK rips of Detective Conan... but the subs are not good, but at least it can calm some of the impatients... it is up to 68 or so compared to anime-conan's 50...

well i watched a couple of the Anime conan ones a while ago ..then watched the first 49 on AS just cause it was faster... and they didn't do a horrible job ( name change was kinda dumb though) and now i've seen the AC #50

DETECTIVE CONAN!!! yes, one of the best shows ever!!! i always feel like csi took the idea from detective conan...cuz it's my first mystery exposure.

ashort period ago idl the [anime-conan]version
but after that ifound out that there is and arabic dub for it till the eps 79 (second season)
so i droped the english sub and started the arabic dub
great show
hope it lasts for 1000+

And I have to say that episode 96 has to be the most awesome episode yet (and it's a 1.5 hour special)...

I absolutely love Detection Conan/Case Closed. I find Anime-Conan awhile ago, once AS finished with the first 49 episodes, and I needed more. After watching all the Jap episodes that I've seen already, I have to say this is probably the only anime where I prefer the englsih DUB over the sub... I know it's all in the matter of opinion, but they kept the music in, chose great voice actors (I prefer them over the Jap VAs), and kept it, for the most part, uncut. I really think Funimtion (yeah, I know, Funimation...) did a great job with the dub.

Other than that, this show is great. I never really like those CSI shows because they really don't leave enough clues for the viewer to figure the crime out. Most of the time you see who commited the crime. But with DC/CC it's an actual challenge to figure out who did it. It's a real treat. They are so fun to solve, and it's really fun to see if you can get it before Conan does. Glad to see other people enjoyed it so much. I'd love to see AS gets more episodes.

It's been a while since I last saw the anime but I do believe his name in the dub verison is Jimmy Kudo.

And doing some quick research, the dub verison left off with episode 83, now I don't know if it matches up with the Japanese anime but that's what I read.

I really don't know what episode 83 of Case Closed is in Detective Conan, I have my suspicion that it might be episode 80 "The Wandering Artist Murder Case".

As for Conan turning in to Shinichi (Jimmy), I think that only happened once, and that was on the episode that he drank some alchohol and the high-school detective from Osaka (Hattori) was challenging him, is that the episode you talking about RoCK?

Anyways, Case Closed is apparently skipping some episodes and doing a whole lot of other attocities, I suggest downloading all of Detective Conan, and going around browsing through episodes to watch episodes you haven't seen and find out where you left of.

for those of you interested in the subs and don't know about this yet, detective conan 100 - 160 japanese-to-chinese-to-english translated dvd rips have been put up by XCHKS. the subbing isn't nearly as good as Aconan's, and they mix up which episodes are which sometimes, but it's better than nothing.

My fault, I completely ignored the fact that this was japanese first! I believe you hit the nail on the head with the episode being 83...I'm going to look that up very soon though...
