The audio stream of the videos isn't working under divx player or wmp, but they do under VLC. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to divx or wmp to have the audio streams come through, I'm not too found of using VLC unless I have to.

Well, here is what you can do. If you download a program called GSPOT (http://www.divx-digest.com/software/gspot.html), it will tell you what type of codec you need. Just tell me what type, and I'll get it to you. Hope I could help.

It says for the audio codec that there are 2 compatible installed, Creative MP3 codec (soundcard), and the MPEG 3 layer decoder one.

Does it say anything about any tags missing? If there are, tell me those because that would be a much easier way of solving your problem. Hope I could help.

No missing tags, the only thing it has on there is - - ** Problem ** ** Codec not registered.

When I try doing the rendering it says: DirectShow partially succeeded to play file. The actual text of the error or warning is:

0x00040242: VFW_S_PARTIAL_RENDER - Some of the streams in this movie are in an unsupported format.

The following combination of filters were used:

{E:\My Stuff\Videos\Na..-.. AonE]Naruto - 01.avi} (Video Source)
{AVI Splitter} (Video Splitter)
{ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder} (Video Decoder)
{Video Renderer} (Video Renderer)

Ok, try the MPEG Layer-3 Codec which you can find here (http://www.divxmovies.com/faq/#4.4). See if that works, and get back to me on it.

While we are on the subject, is there any codecs out there that can help with the adjustment of the video settings. Some of the video streams are really dar and I can barely make out whats going on. When they encoded these did they include that?

Well, if you look at the post I made in this (http://forums.gotwoot.net/messageview.cfm?catid=26&threadid=10560&enterthrea d=y) thread, you should be fine. Just download all the codecs there and it should look good. For the contrast of the video, it could be your computers contrast, or it could be the player itself. There should be some kind of setting on your player to change the contrast. I know in Divx player if you go to "prefrences" and then to "video," there should be a way to change the contrast. Hope I could help.

Well, I have half a solution. I change video settings in divx and not WMP. Better then nothing. Thanks again.

Did some tweaking under the ffdshow and got it all smooth and pretty on divx and wmp. Thank you so much for your assistance.

I have the second half of the solution. To change contast/hue in WMP, first open it up. Then go to "View," then go to "Enhancements." In enhancements go to "Show Enhancements" and there should be many options to change the video color/contrast. Hope I could help.
