My media player says that I need the proper codecs to play the Naruto series I downloaded here. My media player is completely updated and ive been installing codecs like mad in search for the right ones, but without any luck. Does anyone know where I can get the proper codecs for them?

Thanks

Ok, here I go. First uninstall all codecs you have right now and start off clean. Now, the first one you want is divx which you can get here (http://www.divx.com/divx/?src=toptab_divx_from_/index.php) (Just get the standard codec, not the ad-supported one). The next codec you need is xvid which you can get here (http://files.divx-digest.com/software/codec/XviD-1.0.1-05062004.exe). The last codec you need is ffdshow which you can get here (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/ffdshow.cfm). Just install all these codecs and play them in a good media player (WMP, Divx, VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/)) and you should be fine. Hope I could help.

To uninstall codecs go to "Control Panel", and then to "Add/Remove prgrams". All the codecs that you have downloaded should be there. Uninstall those. Also, go to "All programs" and see if there any left there. If they are there, uninstall those too. Then install the ones I gave you and you should be fine. Hope I could help.

So you installed all three of those codecs and it still didn't work? That's strange....Anyway, I have another way you can play them. When in doubt, go with VLC Player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/). Install that player and play Naruto on it. It should work then. Hope I could help.

just the plain DivX codec should work .how did u download it, kazaa, bitTorrent. i mean everything should be working, all i can think of is that the file is unfinished, or maybe u havent installed the codecs after u downloaded them. try playin it with the DivX player since that definitly has the codec on it. well those are all of my possible reasons.

It's a possibility that it didnt fully download, i got them from bitTorrent. I was fortunate enough to get them to play once before, but I had no idea why it worked, because as soon as i started my computer up again it didnt work. I tried to restart but no cigar. I'll probably try to download them again

Dont use codec packs. They only cause problems.
Which ep doesnt work or cant you play any of them?

Bullshit, they CAN cause problems, but it hardly ever happends. You are probably alking out of experience, but thatll just be your computers incompatibility.

you can also find a master codec, which will install all types of codecs out there right now... its quite nice and very usefull for when you revamp your harddrive...

Basically the same , but K-Lite has a better reputation.
