Sig Contest Subject

Ok all, we are trying to rally the troops to have another sig competition, so far we have decided on just a simple one round naruto sig shootout, we will post stats of size reqs etc etc once thi3f has things ready as he has volunteered to oversee this thing. However it may be a little time before it starts so we figured we would find a good character to do for the competition.

I've got a crazy idea, how about non-ninja characters, like the Ramen shop owner or Inari or his dad? I think it would be challenging to make cool sigs for characters like that.

Either way, I think it should be a character that you don't normally see in sigs. So for now I'm gonna vote for Shizune.

I mean if we picked something about Kakashi/Itachi/Naruto/etc... it would all be trying to do the same "I'm super cool" sig. I would like to have a sig contest that is gag/joke oriented. Udon with his runny-nose, Naruto stuck in the bathroom, Sakura freaking out, that dog going PUURII PUURII!

maybe we shouldn't just pick one character. i think it's better to have a list of characters we can use to create our sigs and the best one wins ALL.

Well, how about only I get to do the ramen shop owner while everyone else does the chosen character? I think it would be an interesting challenge to make a cool sig from a character like him, that and it would be his one chance at fame. Go get 'em Ramen Shop Owner Man, show them just how cool of a character you can be.

weve already had a neji, and kakashi sig round last time, should be some1 different this time, and there shouldnt be any characters that we havent seen properly in the anime yet, so no kimimaro or whatever.

i say oro cos weve seen tons of him in the anime, with loads of different outfits etc, so sigs ppl come up with will be more interesting. also evil characters are so much cooler in sigs i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif

yeah...cos hes the best character in the series! (apart from zaku, duhhhhh....).

also i dont think the images that can be used in the sig should be prechosen like the 1st round of the last competition, its a lot more interesting when ppl have to find their own screen caps or fanart to use i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif

There's a sig competition? If I havn't missed it I guess ill participate, maybe this time I wont get lazy and drop out in the second round, lol. But if your still choosing characters, which I dunno, why not just choose a genre of anime, and let them pick whoever they want.

why not say that you cant use the character suggested here. the same goes for haku, zabuza, and all other ninjas that were in the show for more than like 3 eps. would be cool to see no name ninjas in sigs i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif or funny sigs or something

zaku is not a no name ninja really i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif i want sigs of those type of guys you only see once or only some scenes in every 20th ep or something. that way you cant vote for your fav since you dont have a non mae ninja as your fav and it will be very challenging for the people in the contest if they have to work with characters like that. or maybe just make sigs of the konohamaru corps that would rock.

OF COURSE you would have a Mae ninja as your fav! I would make a great ninja, IMO i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif

well if theif's almost completed the polling side of the competition i suggest we kick this thing off soonish. jiraiya and itachi are tied first atm, so its a toss up between these two as to which 1 we will use. seeing as theif is putting the effort in to run the competition i think its only fair that he gets to chose!

Maybe its time you created the official thread then thi3f, make sure you include all the size restrictions, how many we can enter( im assuming 1) and whether it can be animated or not etc etc etc.

2 weeks sounds good to me, and all the other specs seem to be the general concensus as to what is wanted. is the voting going to be done in a forum poll or, have you coded a poll which restricts 1 vote to each IP?
