about ANBUs

wait anbus are stronger than jounins right? but if so how many of them are as strong or stronger than kakashi. since every jounin waits for teh anbus to show up that makes one think that they are f'in awesome. such as when kakashi waits for them to show up when he fights with itachi. well i just want someone to clarify this for me. thanks.

ANBU are not stronger than Jounin. They're just specilized in things like assassination and espionage.

The point in waiting for them to arive is that many will show up(when they are called about things like Itachi) and you can't just summon the other Jounin like that so thats why they are awsome, because strength is in numbers.

as far as we can tell, ANBU are just specialist Jounin... nothing else disproves that.

we have yet to see any ANBU do anthing spectacular in a fight yet, most have died without much of a combat. So far ANBU are worthless to me.

I hope we learn the story of the female ANBU who is friends with Kakashi thru the link of the person who died that they both still miss and pay homage to at the stone memorial. I mean learn the whole story more, like flashbacks when kakashi and the female ANBU were young. Were those two and the one who died the three that were trained under the 4th hokage? Just like I enjoyed the flashback with jiraiya(sp?) and his bell training.

ANBU aren't jounins... they're chuunins

in my opinion, i think that there are many different types of anbu members set in different categories
some maybe chuunin level, jounin level, or higher
the anbus that kakashi and the other jounins that were waiting for when the sad/sound attacked has to have higher skill than chuunins
sure some may look weak, but that also depends on how powerful the opponent is

i completly agree with u. tons of chuunins die when the leaf is attacked and the only anbu that u see die(besides the ones that are killed by kabuto) die from a stupid jumping into wall thing. so i think some of them could give a few jounins a run for their money

Anbu do give jounins a run for thier money. At least the myst guy gave Kaikashi a run for his money. Also, about that invasion of the sand and sound, didn't it seem like a lot of those sand and sound guys just sucked. I mean they were just a waste. They must have been Chuunin level it just seems like villages should stop sending out chuunin when one Jounin can kill like 17 of them at once. Just seems like an awful waste of life.

Are you sure about that? I'm under the impression that they can be both Jounins and Chuunins. It seems to be more of a job than a rank. Also ANBU's can be stronger than Jounins.

i think that anbus are just awesome ninjas that have massive death skills. i mean sakura will never be an anbu, cause she cant do shit, but on the other hand sasuke could become one just like itachi. the other non anbu people can be strong but dont specialize in death, or retire like kakashi. so all people who can kill swiftly are promoted to ANBU. i wonder what ANBU stands for. maybe Amazing Ninja Big Ubercoolguy

it seems higher level chuunins tend to be anbu members, while lower level jounins become anbu captains

although now that i think about it.....did they ever say itachi became a jounin?

now that u mention it they only say itachi became the leader of an anbu at 14 and say nuttin about jounin. and itachi had to be stronger then a jounin since he killed all the uchihas and at 5 or 6 were high lvl chuunins and at least one or two were jounins and he took them all out at one time

I had this discussion with AssertnFailure about ignorants and dumb people, and I told him that you could always find the dumb people on the side of the bad spelling.

ANBU is probably the step between jounin and chuunin. ANBU seems to be more for the younger ninjas. It can be more exciting then the life of a village jounin/chuunin. Most of the jounin in the series act as teachers to the gennin; but, in times of crisis, can be sent out on high-level missions.
Whereas ANBU members are constantly put in life-threatening, high stress situations. So, I think that when a ninja gets tired of the life of ANBU - they decide to retire from ANBU, and become a jounin- if they are qualified to do so- or remain a chuunin.

also, on the topic of jounin, What level do you think the parents are at? like hinata's dad, or the elder Ino-Shika-Cho team?

they are probably jounin - but maybe they are retired, and only fight when it is necessary for the village, and don't regularly take on missions.

Its not about flaw, for example; writing Suck instead of Sucks , is simply a key I miss , writing "its" instead of "it's" , is just because i wont bother myself, or any of you with spelling you dont need.

Writing "Aint" instead of "isnt" , however, is something that can not be done by accident, there is no way "Flawed" applies in this case. "Aswell" should be "as well", but I missed the space.
If your point is that you cannot see that difference, than your point has been made.
Besides, it is a completely pointless discussion to have, because it is pretty obvious wat I meant. Or..youre just dumb.

They clearly know each other, but I think it's not a very close relationship. She was there to pay homage to Hayate, the third examiner in the Chuunin exam. Kakashi was paying homage to someone named Obito, which is why he's always late. I would guess that she knew that because it's something the whole town knows, seeing as he's there so frequently.

The show doesn't talk about ANBU. All we know is that they are elite fighting groups. It appears like they aren't trained in jutsus as well as with weaponry though.
