Could someone recomend some funny anime, please.

Looking for funny anime with good story line. Naruto has some good stuff once in a while, but i'm looking for something thats consistently funny. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

it seems really random and drugged up at first, but things start to make more sense.......then end up getting crazy again, but on a level that is easy to accept

then after that comes "jungle wa itsumo hale nochi guu deluxe".....all hell breaks loose.....funniest stuff ive ever seen i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif

Great Teacher Onizuka, One Piece, Hajime no Ippo has some funny moments in it but it's more action oriented.

Azumanga Daioh is hilarious...I also thought Jungle was funny and Happy Lesson has its funny moments too...not to forget Midori no Hibi....those are the ones I can think of from the top of my head...

Full Metal Panic Fumoffu, Golden Boy, and GTO are probably the best that I can think of. They make me want more after I finish the series.

Ranma 1/2 and Azumanga Daioh are pretty good, too.

However, I have to say Sailor Moon Live Action is hilarious. The costumes, the acting, the action scenes... I cracked up so much on how corny they were.

Those Who Hunt Elves 1 and 2 were funny, too. Not as funny as the above, but entertaining enough.

Oh yeah, I can't forget about Project A-Ko. My friends and I laughed non-stop when watching that one.

Love Hina was also good... A nice romance comedy.

Kyou Kara Maou and Midori no Hibi are funny and are nice series. I would feel better about Kyou if they had more females as main characters, to make a more balanced cast. Midori no Hibi felt a little short.

Aion is right Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu is the funniest anime ever, and I love it because who ever made it must of loved horror shows. The Deluxe OVA to it is great to, I haven't seen the Final OVA yet but I am sure it is just as great.

I watched 23 episode of gto so far and they are great onizuka is crazy. Thanks for the recommend to everyone who recommended GTO. Also could someone explain what Azumanga Daoih is kinda about?

Excel Saga (and it's little side show: PuniPuni Poemy)
and I'm surprised no one mentioned Masaru (or Sexy Commando Gaiden Sugoiyo Masaru-san!)
both are like stupid funny, I almost choked laughing watching these

as for Azumanga, these were actually a series of newpaper mangas, it spans the four years of high school in Japan, it's like a classroom comedy, really light hearted... I don't know how they did the series but the mangas are really funny...
some of the characters are:
Yukari - homeroom/English teacher
Chiyo, Tomo, Sakaki, Yomi, Osaka (not her real name, real name is Ayumu Kasuga)... there's a couple more characters that add on later...
It's difficult to explain, but the manga was worth reading....

azumanga daioh is pretty funny. its got some strange parts... (chiyo's pig tails wtf!) but its more a niche anime about the odd happenings of high school girls with no guys cept for a lech teacher. worth watching for its funny stories but the cheesy music will stick in your head forever.

Furi Kuri/FLCL isn't here because it's overrated and not funny at all. And if it is funny, I seriously don't understand what part of it is. This is after seeing the entire series 3 times in hopes of finding the comedy.

Anyway, I had a similar request. So this thread is good. I recommend Excel Saga & Azumanga Daioh. I'm currently getting Ebichu, since you people seem to dig it.
