How do you join the sub and movie?

I started to learn japanese and have subbed my first episode in my language.
But, how do you save the subbtitle to the movie?

I cant seem to be able to..

you might want to read about the whole process. Just translating it isn't enough, you gotta do a LOT to make the final thing happen.

The actual point that the subs get put on the video is the encoding step, but you may or may not need to do some steps before it's ready for that, depending on what you have and what you've already done.

short answer is "virtualdub, textsub for virtualdub, codec of your choice"

long answer is "read, a lot. encoding (when done badly) can be trivial, but to do it well is a big undertaking. your best reference is http://www.doom9.org "
