1337 = leet, short for elite. 1337 speak, leet speak, l33t speak, whatever the hell you wanna call it, is the idiots way of wasting thier time. www.ruinroms.net forums actually have a built in leet thing, where you press a button and your words get typed with numbers and *($&% crap like that.

If your 'that' good, or if your clan members is that good, it's really a nice feeling.

My clan Los3r, used to be king's of my usual cybercafe. We used to dominate Counter-Strike 1.3. So much so that when any of us enter's the game, people would start flocking to our side. Was really a ego inflating thingy. i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif . Some regulars would start recognizing.. and you'll tend to get cheers.
