Is it safe ?

I m behind router. one thing i have to ask is if i opened the port for BT,will my computer be safe ?

if you're opening just those ports, and nothing else is listening on them, then yeah, you're perfectly fine.

If you're putting your computer into the router's DMZ instead of forwarding the ports, you should probably consider some sort of software firewall (xp's built-in firewall, with bittorrent ports open is what I'd recommend -- alternately ZoneAlarm or Tiny Personal Firewall).

Of course, you're probably regularly and frequently doing full windowsupdates and have a good virusscanner running with virus definitions auto-updating daily, right? I hope so....
