Can't get sound from any of my movies

I've already got Nimo pack installed I've tried radium, and still nothing, I can view my movies but I can't get any sound from them, anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Ok first of all make sure you have the latest divx, xvid, and ffdshow codec installed. I know they are video codecs but it wont hurt to have them, trust me. You can find the link to these in various places of the forums. However, I have the solution to your problem. You can get the codec for tag 85 from here (http://www.divxmovies.com/faq/#4.4). You might want to install GSPOT for future codec problems from the website i gave you. Just go to link for tag 85 and install the codec. Hope I could help.

If things really don't work and your stocked full of codecs. just uninstall all of them. then reinstall the necessary ones, so say ffdshow, then any special audio or subtitle programs, Since there is a new xvid out, get that after you install ffdshow and important stuff not in packs.

Yeah stos289 is right, you definatly should get GSPOT for reference, tells you what is wrong and what codecs you have and/or need

Thanks, I got it working, but now I can't listen to MP3 files in Windows Media Player, any suggestions?

I suggest that for playing mp3s, you should get a program called Winamp. You can download it from here (http://www.winamp.com). This program should solve all of your mp3,wav,wma, and all other audio type problems. It has a great interface (I prefer the classic mode) and it plays very well. Just download the latest version and you should be all set. Hope I could help.

Seriously, I'm going to say this once, so pay attention: CODEC PACKS ARE THE SPAWN OF SATAN.

Uninstall that shit, and use Media player classic.
