I'm thinking there is no such thing as a 'perfect' OGM codec. However, I'm sure that it is dependent on the speed of your computer, not neccessarily the codec. I have problems with OGM files as well, and my computer is almost three generations old, at the very base of the Pentium III's.

try ffdshow (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow), it might work better

You might wnat to try vobsub. It helps with subtitles in videos. Get it from here (http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/11/2/7/11-2-7-8.shtml)
